The Miami Heat start the season with an ugly one-point win over the Pistons that came down to a late miss. Is there reason for concern?

    Please 'Locked On Heat' guys, can't you see the reason this game was a nailbiter is because Spoelstra doesn't apply the Phil Jackson wise policy of "looking for who's hot and not and applying minutes accordingly." If you ever get to talk to Spoelstra, let him know of this Phil Jackson coaching tactic: playing all his guys at the early part of the game, then finding out who's hot and who's not, then giving more minutes to guys who are hot. Applying this tactic, at the last minutes of the game, it should've been Duncan Robinson playing (hot) and not Tyler Herro (not). Pretty sure Miami would've won with a more comfortable lead.

    I really wish you two would stop bitching about this team. It was the first game of the season and you guys are complaining that the Heat didn’t shoot too many 3’s. Yes it was an ugly win but at least we won it.

    Herro as the top scoring option is going to be an erratic experience. Lowry continues to be terrible. How much more of this guy do we need to endure? The point guard position is brutal. Please give JJJ more minutes.

    Wes – giving so much credit to Tyler for this victory is idiotic. He was awful for the most part except for one stretch. Including a bad turnover which is typical Tyler.

    They are definitely better than last year, especially the 2nd unit. The starters need some improvement. Josh and Highsmith could probably start over Lowry and Love.

    Herro shooting 24 shots is a result of Lowry not taking any. He needs to shoot at least 5 shots, especially at the 3 point line.

    JJJ deserves a long leash, I'm salivating over his game….The pivot moves and iso game is nice….And he's a really good playmaker, really understands movement and the flow of the game, always makes good decisions. .Easily the most exciting thing about the Heat right now../

    I've said it since last playoffs….Duncan's off ball movement is ELITE….One of the best I've seen in the NBA tbh…..,The offense flows when he's in there ..
