Immanuel Quickley put the league on notice yesterday evening, in a close game against the Boston Celtics, which the Knicks ultimately lost. IQ turned out to be one of the bright spots on the night, shooting nearly lights out from 3 and getting to the line effectively. He may have not received the extension he wanted from the Knicks, but if he continues to play like this, he might get what he wants from another team. Quickley also speaks out on not signing an extension with the New York Knicks. Troy Mahabir breaks all of this down!

First off it's one game. Let's see how the season plays out. We have no idea how much he was asking nor do we know what the Knicks were offering.
Can’t make that assessment from 1 game or a playoff round! From the entire season he is playing starter minutes and making winning plays.
Knicks will end up trading him in a package for Donovan or Embiid.

IQ isn’t playing for a contract, he’s playing to be great. Every year since he was drafted he’s improved upon his game and it shows on the court. From his defense, his shot selection, his strength, his attacks to the basket his understanding of the game, he’s an overall improved player and still hasn’t scratched the surface. IQ knows he’s a starter and wants to be a great player and is motivated by that and that only. The huge contract he’ll receive is just a by product of all his hard work. Let’s go Knicks!
