Nah didn’t you hear he’s actually our best player and should be starting PG

So IQs team was looking for something like 25-27M a year. I think its smart to let the market determine his value

    He didn’t sign

He has to ball out, show that he’s worth what he wants

Knicks can match it if he does

If he doesn’t perform we move on

    Great position to be in

  4. When he gets 20-24m offers, we will match it and he will stay a Knick. This is what should happen at least.

At the end of the day, thanks to restricted free agency, the team is still in the driver’s seat. If he somehow plays well enough for some other team to offer him a massive contract next summer but not quite well enough for the Knicks to want to match, I guess we’ll cross that bridge when we come to it (and doubt we ever will).

I really like IQ and think he can have a Brunson-esque breakout with another team, but for us, there’s really no pathway for him to become a starter so I’m not jumping at the idea of paying a guy 25 a year to come off the bench. If they can sign him to something closer to 20 a year then by all means
