No way. Is it going to just be through an app?

  2. hallelalaluwah

20 bucks a month to watch the Lakers in addition to all of the other billion subscriptions you need to watch sports? i remember when people said the streaming age was going to be more democratic for people

  3. KDNeedsMoreHelp

Does this include games on TNT and ESPN?

  4. NotGonnaGetCaught

That’s pretty awesome. No need for spectrum cable anymore if that’s all you want

    Still gonna pirate tho

  5. eur0stepp

I mean if you split with a friend it’s not bad

  6. No-Equipment-20

Fucking finally. $20/month is steep but at least people don’t have to pay $100/month if they want to legally get it

  7. less-ismore

How is $20 a month steep? Lmfao I pay cox cable with internet for $270 a month for just basically WiFi and to watch the lakers

  8. Vegasguy3124

I’m still too cheap. 19.99 nahh man stream East for me.

  9. opeth2310

Going to try it for a month and see how I like it

Man, I can’t wait for these RSN’s to die off. I remember when the playoffs moved to cable then this shit with the Lakers and the Dodgers. Laker games on channel 9 and Dodger games on channel 5. Fuck these greedy ass companies. Keep screwing over the fans that you’re leeching off of at the same time. People shouldn’t have to pay to watch their local teams on tv.

  11. Are there any details on this about possible blackout restrictions?

  12. Elitealice

At this point you might as well keep cable with all these services

For those eligible (Spectrum SportsNet+ is available to anyone who lives inside the Lakers local broadcast territory. That includes all of Southern California, Hawaii and parts of Southern Nevada.) and has a friend or relative who has spectrum sportsnet on their cable package, you can sign in with their cable provider (spectrum, cox, directv, etc) in the NBA app on any of the devices mentioned (Xumo Stream Box, Xumo TV, iPhone, iPad, Android mobile, Roku, Android TV, Amazon Fire, Hisense, PlayStation and Xbox). Worked great for me. When you install the NBA app, skip the creation of the NBA ID. Just get to the main page and you’ll see SSN+ (next to a Laker logo) on the left side menu. It will ask you to enter the tv provider and boom…BIG GAME JAMES is at your service!

The only good thing about moving out of socal, in free from the spectrum exclusive deal

  15. TheRealPewdiePi3

What’s the difference between just buying league pass though??

  16. bigbadbernard

I just want to watch Backstage Lakers – still not allowed outside California 🥲

  17. LumenYeah

Sorry, dumb question here, but do I need some sort of basic cable service in order to sign up for this? All I have is streaming apps on a Roku TV.
