  1. Q2 IN FRENCH
the guy says : Victor, it's your second match. Can you share with us how you feel about it ? At one point, you mentioned being proud . What's in your mind right now?
Victor : Of course there's pride . I was even surprised on my way back to the lockers to feel I wanted to celebrate the moment . Then I thought about it and I feel it's only one win . Still, it's a memorable day , and I do feel proud somehow .

  2. Q3 IN FRENCH
the guy asks : In such moments, how do you keep the balance between being proud of yourself and feeling you were far from perfect in the game ? What areas of improvement can you see for yourself in the light of this particular game ?
Victor : For sure. ( then there's a word I can't quite get, that sounds rather like "plaisir" so I'll go with this). First the pleasure in that game was positive , since we won it. But I'll say, the moments right after the game are all about celebrating every win, either big or small . It's okay to do that . But later or on the following day, it's back to work again as we are far from perfection individually or collectively.

  3. Q4 IN FRENCH
the guy says : Victor, let me congratulate you for your win, I imagine it must feel good. I need to go back to one precise moment : your action on Jabari smith, the double block , right hand, left hand . Can you explain to us what that was, was it just instinct, did you read it ? How do you carry out this type of action ?

Victor : first, you need to go for it ( "oser" is "dare", "be bold" in French ) . All the great shot blockers (?) are regularly dunked over, and you need to not be scared of that . As for me, it's not something that I'm afraid of. I feel that in such actions, there's a notion of sacrifice at that time for the team , there are no other choices to be made . There are even moments when I told myself I should have (gone for the block ? = "aller au contre") several times with Sengun . Knowing that everytime we think he's going to ( "go for it "? Or probably a bball term I did not get at all), instead he passes the ball, so it's hard to estimate what is the right action to take. So simply this is about making a sacrifice for the team. You mustn't think it over, it has to be instictive. "Il faut y aller" : You just need to go for it. (chuckles).

  4. Q5 IN FRENCH
the guy says : You said the team lacked some energy. Is it something that also applied to you during that game ? And we were able to see you go through a transformation as the game progressed, can you tell us more about that transformation : was it mental, was it physical ?

Victor : yes, personnally I have prefered the last parts of games all my life . That's when I feel at my best . So that's also one area for improvement for me to be able to contribute to the collective game right from the start. We need to push the team to its top at all cost. I can't let myself let them down /play in a mediocre way ( what he said exactly was "montrer un mauvais visage") , I need to help the team win.

  5. Q6 IN FRENCH
the guy asks: Victor, at the start of the match you were somewhat clumsy, in particular with three pointers. When it's like that during matches, what goes through your head, and how do you overcome it/ what do you hang on to , in order to find a different way to play ?

Victor : It' s quite simple. I use my agressivity . We all have days when it won't work/ get into the hoop . Great players are players who know how to adjust , first to their contenders, then who can find a solution whatever it takes when things are not working . That it what I try and do as much as I can . Lucky days are fine, but you need to have more skills ( "armes" is "weapons") at hand .

  6. Q8 LAST ONE IN FRENCH this one was tricky for me, sorry.
The guy says : Victor , after Dallas you used the word "dream" . This time you scored in order to pull out the extra time (="arracher la prolongation" ) and finally ended up winning for your first NBA game . What is your definition for this victory ?

Victor : What would I call this win ? It's winning out of wanting / desire . Everyone saw how the momentum of the game changed during the fourth quarter. As a collective, we totally changed the odds . But on a personal level, I really wanted this win . FIERCELY .
Thanks /Merci to @anton 6875 for his help!

  7. We looks like Wilt, but does everything, he needs someone to keep feeding him, pop should bench players not feeding him when he has the advantage

  8. I feel like coach pop is still experimenting with this team. Heโ€™s calling plays but I see he letting them play to their styles eventually blending in together

  9. Victor should meet Chuck Nevitt!
    Victor Wembanyama 7'4"
    Chuck Nevitt 7'5"
Chuck should be a basketball coach for Victor because Victor's and Chuck's heights are not different, which means Chuck will teach Victor and Victor will understand easily what is Chuck saying and Victor doesn't need to look down to make eye contact.

  10. Look at the difference of his energy in this postgame interview compared to the first games. Heโ€™s a winner man! Pretty good for being just โ€œTall.โ€
