This disgusts me more every time it happens. Shaq, Kobe, MJ, DWade, Bird, Magic, etc. How many times during their long careers did they sit out for rest purposes? I would guess zero. Maybe they should start labeling it instead of “for rest purposes,” as “for the purpose of being soft.” Nobody should have to rest after playing 2 games, back to back, or otherwise. I work construction, 6 days a week, 10 hours a day. This is about the equivalent of me working my ass off for 6 hours today and telling my boss I need to stay home for rest purposes tomorrow. I’m about 99% sure I would not get paid for taking the day off. It’s disgusting! Downvote all you want. I know it’s coming, but it just pisses me off.
