[Noah Weber] Dereck Lively II was clearly one of the best shooters on his team (DJJ, Luka, Seth, Exum, GB3) during the open period of Mavs practice. Was consistently draining threes off the catch and mechanics look good. He will be a consistent floor spacer at some point.

He will be too scared to try shooting because Kidd will use it as an excuse to inmediatly bench him.
Who the hell is GB3
Oh but who cares, DP just hit his first three since, *checks notes, EIGHT months ago. Yeah can’t see any reason for Lively to worry about outside game. Powell has this role locked down and Kidd knows it
Man I am really hyped for Lively. If he gains the ability to space the floor at least a little bit, that would be huge for us.
But can he shoot them from the bench?
It’ll be some time until we even see Lively attempting 3s in a game let alone be a good in-game shooter. But this is nice to hear. His ability to roll and vertical threat is what gives our offense more of a punch. I don’t mind not seeing him shoot 3s at all this season
I can only get so wet
Tyson Chandler with a 3pt shot
DJJ hasn’t made a jumpshot in two games. He doesn’t belong on this list unless Im horribly misinformed.
People need to chill with Lively dick sucking.
You are setting him up to be 18/10/2 player this season and 3 level scorer as rookie C. End when he fails to do so he will be getting ”Lively sucks” posts by new year.
You know what…I think Kidd didn’t know what to do with Lively vs Small Ball, so he went back to what he was used to before. Ben was essentially their center as Claxton was out…So maybe Kidd didn’t do some homework/gameplan was different than what they were expecting?? Idk

“Right in my face,” he said. “F—!”
To make matters worse, Finney-Smith had dinner plans with Dončić after the game. “I’m just going to take the L at dinner,” Finney-Smith said. “I ain’t gonna talk about basketball.” Usually, that’s Dončić’s dinner rule: No basketball talk. Finney-Smith had a strong suspicion Dončić would break that rule later that evening.
