So Jeremy seemed a bit off body language wise, and he also posted about “the struggle is part of the sorry” on IG.
Any ideas if he’s going through something? Maybe it has to do with him being benched during crunch time when Tre was handling? Or something to do with Vic? I have no idea but wanted to get people’s thoughts

The making of PG Sochan will not be done without struggle.
Baptism by fire
Pretty sure It’s not the Tre or Vic thing. Probably just not happy with how he’s playing. He’s probably got a high standard but playing a new position is tough. Had some not so good plays but he will be fine because he also has other great plays
I don’t think he played bad, but didn’t play as well as he usually does. I’m not a fan so far of point-sochan
The body language doctor in me didn’t get a great vibe from him on the bench last night. I think he’s just dealing with struggling a bit in a new role, not mad about being benched or anything. The team has to come around and reassure him so he stays confident.
Dude got benched for most of the 4th quarter and overtime. He only got a bit of time in the 4th, but mainly was just out there for the last 1-2 possessions of each.
I’m sure he wanted to be out there more, but he can’t compete against the playmaking Tre can bring to unlock Wemby in the clutch.
We all have highs and lows. He’s human. If he feels he under performed then he’s gonna be a little down.
I’ve noticed they put Tre in and tell him to watch him play. Tre is established and is the best PG we have on the team. He’s great at getting others involved and at the end of the day he’s consistent.
Sochan is struggling with a new role. It’s to be expected and it’s okay. This season I think it’ll be nice to watch the bench. Coaches is always talking to the players and it’s actually really nice to see all the communication going on.
Maybe because he didn’t play any of overtime when the boys to the lead for good. Love the guy and know he’ll work through whatever dude is a stud!
Remember when he said, point sochan can look great at times and other times not so much? We’re in the not so much and he knows it and embraces it as part of the experience.
Y’all read too much into these things. People post quotes like this all the time on social media. Dejounte would post stuff like this every day. He’s gonna be fine
Sometimes our biggest critics are ourselves. Sochan is still very young and learning a new role, so he’s probably just a bit frustrated with his performance.
Probably disappointed in himself that he couldn’t fulfill the role given to him as a PG. He is still not a good playmaker yet and that’s ok. He can’t be as good as Tre right now on that end considering Tre has been playing PG all his life.
Not necessarily means he down.
In order to ascended to greater heights you must embrace pain. Complacency is mediocrity.
You have to miss 6000 shots to make 4000.
You have to let some body fall so they can know how to get back up on their own.
They have to have that feeling so they don’t ever want it to happen again.
These are very competitive people. It could be he is thinking about what he could be better at. It’s good he recognizes it’s all part of the journey though. I like the grit that displays.
He was sat for a large part of that comeback. Hes not playing where he wants to clutch free throws aside. He has a lot to work on so thats where that struggle comes from
One thing I didn’t understand: on Houston’s last possession in regulation, they had Keldon out there on defense instead of Sochan. That just made no sense.
Marketing deal?
I got absolutely roasted in here the other day for saying he shouldn’t be reading and “clapping back” to randoms in Instagram comments because it’s not good for you mentally.
I thought he played well. I’m sure it’s nothing more than being benched down the stretch and he’s waiting for the next game.
He’s probably just not happy with how he’s been playing. I’m sure it’s not about others he knows he can play better than he has.
Tre Jones reclaiming the starting position. Kid Sochan Super Sub incoming
Tre is much better down the stretch, that’s what PGs do. So Jeremy can either suck it up, watch film and get better. Or sob away.
You think Tre did the same when he was relegated to the bench!?
If HOF TP can get benched by Speedy, and Pop can chew out TD. What about Manu becoming a 6 man? Jeremy can take a ticket too.
It’s all about learning, embracing and responding. I’m sure Jeremy will figure it out.
he good, it’s just life
Cuz he’s kind of a doodoo pg rn but it’s part of the process. I don’t think he’s getting much hate from spurs fans so it must be him bro g upset with himself
Just got intense flashbacks to Dejounte’s insta stories. Those were something else
Up until the draft lottery he thought he was gonna be option 1 or 2 on the team this year. Now he’s sitting during crunch time, brushing off Vic for high fives, sulking on the bench and putting out messages like this one. Pretty clear what’s going on. He’s still really young and has been put in a challenging position running point. Especially when Tre seems to have made a bit of a jump in his game. He will either figure it out and fit in or find a second contract somewhere else. I hope it’s the former. The plus minus figures don’t lie, though.
Is there any example of forward with raw ball handling and shooting eventually developed as a point guard? Genuinely curious.
Dude is only 20yo. He’ll learn and get better. Struggling is just part of it.
