Masai Apologists: “You’re a 2k nephew and this team is headed to the playoffs! Trust in Masai!”

    So many things annoying me!

Why is Pascal not being more aggresive, I thought he was our #1 option

Why is Jakob so clumsy, I swear he’s the only starting center in 2023 that can’t space the floor, no midrange, nothing!

Why do we have no backup point guard or anyone to lead the second unit

When are Masai and Bobby gonna make real changes to this team? Adding Thad, Otto and Garret Temple has done nothing for us on the winning side.

Mcdaniels also doesn’t really do anything

Where are our scorers? Our guys who we can count on to close out games for us.

We should have already decided on a direction but we’re stuck in No Mans Land.

  3. We’ll see. It’s far too early to make any prognosis. Lost a tough one in overtime yesterday, back to back is tough especially after an overtime game.

Loool and dudes on this sub said they were looking forward to seeing Darko and Raptors ball

Damn, y’all jumping ship already after 2 bad games? Lotta room suddenly on this bandwagon.

We’ve been super competitive for over a decade. I’m sure after this season the team is getting blown up if they don’t play well. I personally still have faith in a playoff run, so feel free to hope off.

3 games in! This can’t be real ?

The second game of a back to back with a team still learning a new coaching scheme. oh also it’s 3 games in

I’m not dooming after 3 games. But the frustrating thing is that so many of the moves seemed obvious, like trading Siakam earlier and not wasting a 1st on Poeltl. I get that the return for Siakam wasn’t perfect, but now we’re gonna get less or he’s gonna walk.

I don’t fully blame Masai and Bobby for this. MLSE is known for being greedy, so they want a semi-competitive team that makes the playoffs every year so they get the revenue from extra games. That’s why they won’t blow it up.

My biggest concern right now (besides with how the team is playing) is how tough the schedule is going to be for the next two months. It’s too easy to see this team falling into a hole early on, that they then have to try and climb out of. If the team was in full rebuild mode, it would be easier to take, but we don’t even have our pick this year, and Masai and Bobby have been too ineffectual when it comes to trades lately. Right now, Scottie is the only bright spot on the team.

  10. My issue with this sub is that I swear no one gives love to bobby. If something happens, good or bad, Masai gets talked about (and rightfully so for the most part). Then you have bobby just there as if he’s just a random dude not being acknowledged at all lmao.

It’s over reaction season guys it’s ok

  12. At the rate this is going Scottie won’t wanna be here lol. Dude is already getting depressed by these losses.

Ya my comment was a reply to yours so you’ll get a notification, not the bunch of other people’s comments that you immediately replied to. Do you think people can’t see those or something?

imho, regardless of what the record ends up being there is a lot to like about how this team is playing. They’re passing and moving off ball more than they have in a long time. They’re digging in and aggressive on defence most of the time.

There’s problems sure. Turnovers have been brutal. Offensive rebounding has been poor as well. However Poeltl faced the league MVP last night and Vucevic the night before, so I’ve got to cut him some slack. The bench is very weak these first few games too, especially Precious and Malachi.

Anyway, whatever happens, I like the way the team has been playing as a team, moving themselves and the ball more and playing hard on the defensive end. I don’t mind the losses so much when there’s hustle. Losing when players are standing around watching Fred and Pascal hurt a hell of a lot more, imo.
