The most infuriating thing is the Lakers spent all summer gassing Rui up (remember all this “the Understudy” nonse), paid him 51M over 3 years and they’re keeping him on the bench to give minutes to guys like Cam fucking Reddish.
Like what is even going on, if the team doesn’t believe in Rui for whatever reason why the hell did they pay him that much then. It really makes 0 sense why he’s getting so little burn. Luckily the team has plenty of games left to fix this but it really shouldn’t have been an issue to begin with.

I think they’re not trying to win — that’s not the first priority at least, but it’s to learn game plans and figure out rotations. They know what works already and are exploring alternatives.
