  6. unashameddisneyadult

Sometimes I’m sad about being a hawks fan, but then I remember there are timberwolves fans out there

  7. IngloriousBastard68

ATL is going to the Finals. Quin lit the fuse!

  8. No-Forever-6104

If Trae could make wide open shots the way he hits some of the most difficult passes every other play it’d be over for the league

  9. Julio_Freeman

Quin “Kirby Smart” Snyder with an insane halftime speech

  10. BestCruiser

The win was amazing but gosh darn it Trae, he could be shooting 10-10 at the start of the fourth and I know he’ll still somehow end the game under 50%

  11. Atl-Fan_FTS

I FUCKING BELIEVED!! HOLY SHIT WHAT A W!!

  12. Aardvark-0001

Gonna say this … but last year we would have messed up the last 2-3 mins after playing with the same hustle and lost the game … it’s great to see us closing out the 4th quarters well and decisively.

  13. The power of .500 Hox is truly something to behold

  14. HaterSlayerr

I literally cannot believe what just happened!! OMG y’all. I’m an Atlanta sports fan, that doesn’t happen to us.

  15. marquesasrob

We are incredibly back…this is the Dejounte I thought we were getting last year. Show out boys!! CA-CAW! CA-CAW!

  16. No-Forever-6104

Trae is approaching Messi levels of absurdity with his passing. It’s literally just him and jokic at the top

  17. MrWetPoopz

Quin must’ve been like WE AREN’T LIFTING AS WE’RE FLYING

Instant light bulbs for the squad.

  18. Thetruthhassetmefree

God once everyone gets comfortable in this system we’re going to be scary

  19. ATL4Life95

Trae only 2 TOs last two games. Keep it up!

  20. Renverseur

How about Dre having another solid scoring evening? The dude found his spots

  21. It be quiet af in the post game threads when we win 👁️

  22. Aardvark-0001

S/O to Trae defense for the last quarter!

  23. yoshidawg93

We blew so many games last year where we had the huge lead. Feels refreshing being on the other side of that!

  24. pk-pk-pk

Murray as the SG scoring 40 points is how it’s meant to be.

  25. SuspiciousRelation31

Stopped watching at halftime. Thank you positive bros who stayed and brought the comeback vibes. Bally is slowly coming back to life so I can watch the 2nd half in full at least. Great win!

  26. MiserableSoft2344

Trae shot 40% tonight. Watch out Boston.

  27. JKking15

To all the people at the stadium who left at half time NEVER COME BACK 🗣️

  28. Leading-Opportunity7

So glad I got to watch this great….box score…fuck you bally

  29. No-Forever-6104

I feel like some fans just want to be proven right more than be proven wrong about certain players. If a player turns it around for the good of the team I’ll be the first one to say it and defend them.

  30. Hooligan8

The fact that we haven’t had a single prime Trae game yet and we’re still putting together these impressive Ws is incredible. I remember a time when this team couldn’t win a single game without Trae dropping 30/10 on 60+TS% like it was a contractually enforced prerequisite

  31. Ghostly_100

DJ’s shot creation ability from movement inside the arc is ridiculous.

    Long live the mid range

  32. Hecka_Cakey

I was at the game and I still don’t understand how we won

  33. No-Forever-6104

Rashad Phillips just said JJ reminds him of pippen in fully drinking the kool aid

  34. dangheckinpupperino

Can someone get the JJ windmill in r/nba for propaganda purposes?

  35. DaOlWuWopte

    Reposting from r/nba thread:

People were so scared first couple games. Dejounte under Quin with a summer of practice and buying in is gonna be nice to watch. Especially with Okongwu and Hunter playing some of their best ball. Not even mentioning Jalen Johnson having a pretty solid breakout. Trae has always had rough starts the seasons if I remember correctly, even as a rookie. Even when his shots don’t fall he’s making some of the best passes in the nba and demanding almost constant defensive attention. Either way, im excited for the season

  36. DownTheHall4

Big O!!!! Everyone caught fire that was sexy. You can see the impact of good coaching from the way we adjusted and Mad Max style rallied after halftime. They adjusted and dominated, sign of getting the X’s and O’s they needed in the huddle!

Shout out backcourt defense!!! Trae + DJ locked down weaker guards and made a ton of T/O’s happen

  37. infieldmenace16

DJ MURRAY! JALEN JOHNSON! DRE HUNTER! TRAE YOUNG! BOGI!

    WOW

  38. badlilbadlandabad

Well that was fun. Basketball is a game of runs but it’s usually not one team being absolutely can’t-miss unconscious in the first half and then full on collapsing in the second.

  39. Your Hawks slap the Minnesota Timberwolves 127-113. This comes after being down 60-79 at the half. We go 2-0 in the back-to-back.

Trae Young Highlights: He got first blood of the game with a pass fake and floater driving from the baseline. With a minute left in the first quarter, Trae made a contact layup. You could tell he expected a foul call. He had a nice fake on a midrange attempt and passed to Bogi for a triple-make. With under 2 minutes, Trae was able to get by Edwards for a layup. With around 30 seconds left, he was able to get by 2 defenders for a lightly contested layup. To start the third Trae found DJM on an out-of-bounds play for an easy two. With under 9 minutes, he took contact from McDaniels and make an and-1 floater. Trae started the 4th quarter strong with a floater and a three to put the Hawks up 107-98 with around 10 minutes to go in the fourth. With under 9, he connected on another free throw line jumper. With around three minutes to go, he decided to take a pull-up three on a fast break instead of passing it to Jalen ahead of him who could have gotten a bucket.

Summary: Trae ended with 24 points, 1 rebound, and 8 assists on 9/22 FG or 41% from the field. This is the first time of the season he shot over 40% for the season which is awesome to see. He screwed up his efficiency in the 4th quarter by going 3/10 from the field including ⅕ from three. In the 4th, I felt he was trying to get in the DJM scoring party and forced a few shots. Through the first three quarters, I felt he was excellent and it felt like I was 2021-22 Trae. Overall he had a solid percentage from the field along with his FT rate where he made 5. Passing was solid tonight with only one turnover and he was still able to get a high amount of assists even with Murray’s usage. The three-point consistency could still use 1/7 from three isn’t great. Grade: B

Jalen Johnson Highlights: He started with an offensive rebound over a 6’11 Jaden McDaniels. He then hit a catch and shoot three securing the second-chance points. A couple of possessions later he had a good challenge on a Gobert dunk attempt but got a foul call. With under 7 minutes, he had a LeBron style and-1 shot. He faded as he got the contact and scored. With 6 minutes left in the third JJ got a dunk on the fastbreak thanks to a Murray pass. With around 4 minutes left, there was a fast break with good ball movement. First from DJM to Trae then Trae left it in the air for a trailing JJ for a dunk. With 2 minutes left in the game, he got a steal and went coast to coast for a dunk.

Summary: Jalen ended with 12 points, 5 rebounds, 3 assists, and 1 steal and block on 5/7 fg and ½ from three. Jalen had another solid outing tonight. Offensively he was efficient and he continues to be aggressive and look better than the ball in his hands. As usual, his general passing helped the overall offense’s ball movement. One thing to note was that he had some foul trouble in the first half but he had to guard both Kat and Gobert at times so you’re bound to get some fouls. He was able to clean it up in the second half and still create havoc on that end. He still was able to play 33 minutes tonight and I’m happy Quin adjusted to add him to the starting lineup. The rebounding was solid. We are 2-2 when Jalen starts. Coincidence? I think not. Grade: A

Deandre Hunter: Hunter started with a three-make. He hit his second three with around 7 minutes in the second quarter. To start the third quarter he hit this third three off the pick and pop. With under 7 minutes, he had an open dunk from a DJM bounce pass. With under 5 Hunter drew a foul call against Gobert on a floater attempt. Hunter ended with 16 points, 4 rebounds and 2 assists on 6/10 FG and ⅗ from three. Tick tac toe three nights in a row Hunter was great. It seems Quinn has unlocked him and he’s averaging 17 points, 4 rebounds, and 1 assist on 56fg and 40% from three. Dre did exactly what we wanted. He was efficient from the field, he hit his open three-point opportunities. He was good on defense. There isn’t much to complain about this season and I’m slowly getting higher on Dre. Before, I wanted him traded. If he can stay around 50% from the field and 37% from three the whole season this will be the best season of his career. Grade: A-

Dejounte Murray Highlights: Murray started his night off with a layup high off the glass against Gobert. The next offensive possession he hit a free throw line jumper using the Capela screen. With around 7 minutes he used the screen and himself a three off the dribble. With under 4 minutes, he used a hop step to get past Edwards for an easy layup. With under 9 minutes in the third, he drove from the baseline and stopped on a dime for a pull-up midrange shot. With around 8 minutes, Murray was able to beat Edwards off the dribble from the baseline and got an and-1 layup. There was a possession where he lost the ball which led to a jump ball. With 4 minutes left, he hit another midrange free throw line jumper followed by a pull-up three the next possession. He went three in a row and hit, you guessed it, another pull-up midrange shot. With under 30 seconds in the quarter, he hit another pull-up midrange for his 30th point. He put the cherry on top with a pull-up three giving himself 22 points in the quarter and 33 for the game. To start the fourth Murray used a back screen and got an easy bucket under the rim brought to you by Trae. With under 10, he hit a scoop layup high off the glass. With under three in the, he got a floater to go in over Kat.

Summary: Murray went Super Saiyan Midrange God tonight posting a career-high 41 points, 7 rebounds, 5 assists, and 2 steals on 17 of 24 FG (71%) and ⅗ from three. He hit all 4 free-throw line shots. He activated takeover in the third quarter scoring a career-best 22 points in a quarter on 8/8 fg and 2/2 from three. He also got all 4 free throw attempts here. He solely outscored the Wolves 22 to 19 erasing a 19-point deficit. He couldn’t miss from the midrange and it was beautiful to watch. On top of that, he still playmade for others and only had 3 turnovers for the amount of time he had the ball. He was great defensively with rebounding and creating Havoc. Tonight was a virtuoso for DJ. Grade A+ and Player of the Game.
