The Golden State Warriors Are *COOKING* With FIRE…

Kerr’s substitutions in both Houston & New Orleans were timely as the 9 time champ has his team in a position to prove doubters wrong. Trayce Jackson Davis’ NBA readiness & CP3’s sacrifice have also stood out. How’d the league leader in 40+ point games get it done in the big easy? And who’s been the dubs blessing in disguise? Stay tuned for all that and more.

The Golden State Warriors Are *COOKING* With FIRE…

  1. The warriors are absolutely capable of silencing the doubters. The acquisition of Chris Paul was so much better than I gave it credit for. It’s made the second unit so much more versatile than last year. He’s getting everyone involved and there’s exponentially more ball movement leading to easier buckets. In the rockets game, CP3 had 8 points in 20+ minutes. If Jordan Poole had that same production, the warriors would’ve lost by 15, but due to the assist and flow of the offense CP3 has brought, it takes a lot of the pressure off of steph and the starters to play heavy minutes as the reserves can maintain or even build leads of their own

  2. Warriors are looking like Champions again. No lead is safe, and the D is tough. My goodness. Get it Dubs!!!

  3. Warriors beat two bad teams, I'm not getting excited yet.
Still, so much more fun to watch them this year, the vibes are great.

  4. Platooning. CP3 gives the Ws the ability to have 2 full 5s+ that can sort of be their own character, and switch between them really easily. This will allow high quality results while still playing the second 5-8 enough minutes to always be ready should someone go down.

  5. I think one underrated part of the CP3 trade is that obviously he helps on the court but also in the film room he for sure is going to give more advice than people like dray or steph since CP3 has played with so many players through his career with different skillsets.

  6. Just the calmness I feel when CP3 brings the ball up the court with that 2nd unit is something else… I LOVED Poole as a warrior, he helped us get the chip BUT I would rather have solid 10/5/7 from Cp3 every game then JP with his crazy games of 30 point games and then disappearing for few games and again going crazy 1 game with those dumb turnovers that are always somehow at the ending of quarters lmao

  7. capable of proving doubters wrong? yes. absolutely. probable that they will? still not so sure (in other words, still a doubter, happy to be proved wrong)

steph is amazing, and so is kerr's system. but klay can be hit or miss as he gets older and with injury issues. draymond does great things but is a liability scoring. an aging chris paul gives you some cool new options with the second unit and running two elite playmaking guards together when he's on the floor with steph, but is that enough to keep up with offensive powerhouses like the nuggets and suns lurking? not so sure.

wiggins and kuminga need to step up big this year, as does klay when he's healthy. either that, or steph is going to have to ascend to a level we haven't seen to pick up the slack (which he may do).

size/talent at the big man also a massive issue. draymond has done really well against jokic a few in the past, but looney is going to get cooked worse than AD. this jokic is playing at a different level to their last playoff matchup, and he's got a healthy, young starting five that are all playing the best basketball of their lives around him this time. not so sure dubs come out on top if they meet the nuggets in the playoffs.

again, lots of question marks with the dubs still. but happy for them to prove me wrong.

  8. When Steph came back from injury a couple of years ago he didn’t start for a few games. No big deal. No big ego. Whatever is best for the team and his health.

  9. Paul is not humble. He's been humbled. He didnt come to GS by choice. He's ringless and was traded. Having to play 2nd fiddle to Steph on Steph's team at the pg position probably eats at him, but is tempered by a possible ring and doubters saying he'll never subjugate his ego enough to get one
