Locked On Wolves POSTCAST: Timberwolves COLLAPSE In Atlanta 127-119
The Minnesota Timberwolves collapse in Atlanta blowing a 19-point halftime lead and drop to 1-2. Come join Luke Inman and Jack Borman who help break it all down.
Finch doesnt use his timeouts to stop the opposing teams momentum!!! that 17-2 run or whatever in the third should have been cut to like 9-2 with a timeout…. that last half was hard to watch
The team just doesn't look cohesive on either side of the ball. Their D is less than the sum of it's parts because they play careless team D. This negates good individual work by guys like McDaniels. On O, the hierarchy isn't as established as it should be. This is Ant's team, and we need his energy and attitude. When we deviate from that trouble is always at our heels. We also need to improve off-ball mvt and chemistry to keep the offense from cooling. Karl isn't playing great or terrible, but I think it hurts a team to have eventual $60 million dollar a year expectations for this type of player. It throws off our strategy. We're not going to get domination night after night from Towns yet the money and pecking order tells the players we should expect more from him. Naz has been nearly as good with similar strengths and weaknesses, but a more direct, unflappable style, so far.
I'm a big Conley fan, but he needs to do better. He's never been flashy with his assist numbers and our second half issues stemmed from lack of ball mvt and moving without the ball. But we just need better passing from Mike. He has to set guys up sometimes, esp during dry spells.
I agree that Finch needs to do better, but I don't ascribe the level of blame they do in this cast. He has a pretty tough mix of guys to get cohesive, honestly. I don't agree with his timeout distribution and all his lineups, but most of the onus has to go to the players at this point. The other common denominators mentioned were KAT and Ant. I wouldn't give both guys the same level of blame. Ant has more on his plate–this team is now his, and he has been doing relatively better than KAT so far. KAT is one of the best 3 pt shooting bigs and took 3 in this one. Ant was 5 of 8 from downtown.
Shake is nice. He's a good add, but he's a combo guard and sometimes we need a pure point off the bench, so Jordan getting so few mins is perplexing. Shake doesn't have much chemistry with anyone yet. Nickiel isn't a starting level player and having him in for Jaden when he was out was rough. He might not even be a big mins bench guy, honestly. Naz had a rough game but still managed 13 points. He needs to earn is shots with rebounds. He had one in this game. When he's not clicking we don't have a bench scoring punch. Hopefully some of this stuff just naturally gets better with more games under our belt.
Wolves were doing this 3rd and 4th qrt blown leads thing since long before Finch. The common denominator is Kat. NBA teams always take on the identity of their best players. Kat is a loser. Hence the team being losers.
Idc wat no ody say about finch not being here and they were blowing leads fact of the matter this COACH dont know jack squat about NBA basketball…hes a good guy but THIS IS NOT THE TEAM FOR HIM TO BE COACHING…shouldve just got deayne casey when they had the chance or nick nurse…U NEED A COACH WHO CAN HOLD PLAYERS ACCOUNTABLE BUT…WHO ALSO HAS WON(WON SOMETHING)…how you gone tell players something they doing bad but U CANT GIVE THEK ANSWERS TO THEIR QUESTIONS NOT ONLY THAT BUT U AINT WON JACK SQUAT TO BE TRYNA TELL THESE DUDES THEY ARE PLAYING BAD OR TRYNA HOLD THEM ACCOUNTABLE…OH BTW he SUCKS AT MOTIVATING PLAYERS WTH IS HE DOING HERE STILL? GOT A FEELING THIS IS BECAUSE OF GLEN TAYLOR AND HIS LAST HOORAH MOMENT

This was a terrible loss, this goes down as one of the worst losses in franchise history!
Finch has to coach better bottom line. Absolutely no excuse for this sort of performance other than coaching.
This team is.. still dumb. Smh.

New year new team same effing results
THIS HAS BEEN GOING ON SINCE Thibs, Saunders and now Finch, big lead at the half and lose by double digits. What a joke
10% of the words he says is "umm or ugh". Train your brain and take some public speaking courses.
