We just need to develop our young players more.
Watching Luka carry a bunch of average players, with the exception of Kyrie, is like watching Lebrons early years in Cleveland, watching greatness getting squandered.
The game was lost due to the rebounding and turnovers (even though Denver had more turnovers than we did) we need more size at the center position. Canāt give up that many offensive rebounds especially against a team like the Nuggets. Luka played poorly as well (wont blame him entirely for this game) but this game shows you that we just need more talent around Luka and Kyrie
Josh green and Dwight powell are the same player. Both erratic, clumsy and unpredictable.
Doesn't matter how many points Kyrie 'The Curse' Irving scores a game. Dallas has jinxed themselves by signing him and you can bet Mr. Flat Earther will find a reason to take a leave of absence this season especially if the Mavs aren't doing well.
Just need better effort in defense specially after turnovers and rebounding the ball. And having more pace we need to force that i think Nuggets really did well in stopping fastbreaks or early offense for us. I think it's a great learning for the team playing the defending champs early on… Still a great start hope we have another winning streak after this
So all the luck with Luka shooting "from his legs" is gone. I hope I am wrong, but I am not sure he could just change this in a month. The reality kicked in with Timmy throwing brick after brick and getting lost in his insanity. Shooter with 20% for 3 and 37% for 2. At least this new coach pulled him out. He should always be pulled out after first missed shot or lost ball. The difference started growing in the first quarter when he started with his bricks show.

People don't understand that we don't need more big. It's jokic and there nothing we can do about it, we have lively and unfortunately kleber was ruled out for today and that's alr enough. Mavs need to do is to have a better perimeter defense and stop jokic teammates getting open. Still mad about that matisse situation he would've been a great help for this game
Luka needs to stop playing and hoping for foul calls. He shot too many bad shots thinking the refs were going to call it then not getting back on defense. Limit the turnovers and play off ball more.

Kyrie needs to be more assertive and stop being coo playing second fiddle. Be Kyrie.
Tim Hardaway Jr needs to play better defense if heās going to be taking the kind of shots heās taking.

The first quarter was a disaster
Mavs should sign Dwight Howard and tell him that hes only gonna play specific games. Those who murder us in size. Like the Lakers, Denver, Twolves and bucks etc. We are in desperate need for a proper traditional big who can lock up the slowfooted bigs of this league. Lively works better against teams who run in transition more and dont look for postups.
