Wild stat of the night: Warriors team shooting splits of 36/40/69 on the night (pre-garbage time). Warriors were held to 33%, 17/52 on 2s, by the Cavs defense.

  2. shanmustafa

down the stretch, mobley and allen were treating the warriors front court like mitchell robinson was treating mobley and allen

i think the most i want out of limited defenders is effort, and that’s exactly what strus does, chased around klay well, stood strong when players tried posting him up

  3. boogswald

Great game for our guys, feels good to get something decisive especially against a great team after all the really tough games.

  4. hot-sauce-950

Man this team is too small and Wiggins thinks he’s back on the Wolves

  5. FeminismIsTheBestIsm

Fun fact: This is the first time that the GSW with their core 3 (Steph, Dray, Klay) have lost to a Bronless Cavaliers team. In the 2012-13 season, GSW won 2-0. From 2018 to 2023, GSW won 9-0. Cavs did win one game in the 2013-14 season, but Klay wasn’t playing in that game.

  6. Bim_Jeann

Let Mitchell Cook. Great team defense tonight also. Needed a win like this one to get the Cavs going

  7. ilikepickuptrucks

Mitchell is so damn good, idk why he doesn’t get as much attention as other players

  8. troll413

Man the refs tried so hard to keep us in that game & we were just like nope. Cavs defense is legit as fuck

  9. NeonxGone

Shot below 30% from 3 again but at least got the win this time. At least our defense is looking like it did last year.

  10. craigslistaddict

you wouldn’t really expect a 18-3-8(-3stl-1blk-1to-0pf) statline from 2023 dray but somehow it happened

  11. Alright that’s a great bounce back game. Also the fact that Tristan Thompson somehow still has something in the tank makes me very happy.

  12. lisbon_OH

That was fun. Team looks like they are finally gelling a bit with lots of passing and off-ball movement. And we made the Warriors frontcourt look like us against the Knicks last playoffs.

  13. DatGameGuy

If Cavs can get a winning record with Mitchell averaging 30+ he’ll have a legit MVP candidacy.

  14. GillbergsAdvocate

Some nights the other team just plays better. Not much can really be said, we played like ass trying to figure out how to finish over Mobley and Allen

  15. Tall_Succotash

Much needed cavs win and warriors disadvantage in height still gonna hurt them all year.

  16. Apart-Volume9340

Does any other team have this 8 road game bullshit or just us

  17. CapitalismEnthusiast

warriors couldn’t handle the cavs girth and tonnage

  18. Tbh both really had bad shooting night but Warriors were worse. And we choked so many free throws and so many turn overs and Cavs used it to their advantage. Honestly a loss was incoming after playing high intensity games for the past few games. We just looked lazy and tired and Cavs deserve the win and they used their height very well

  19. Not_Not_Stopreading

Outmuscling another high quality team is a good sign. Mobley definitely needs to work on dribbling though because he had like three travels 💀

I’m just gonna hope the Indiana game was our floor after rust.

  20. Klunko52

Warriors couldn’t deal with the Cavs defense

  21. Cavs needed one badly. The thing that worries me the most right now is Garland 3 point shot not being there, he is supposed to be one of the best shooters in the league.

  22. No-Regret-7900

Warriors looks really clueless on offense without Steph even with CP3 lead the bench, and while CP is a great facilitator he cant score…

Mitchell is unstoppable, hope he can take his game to the next level this season

  23. eastersmith

This game taught me that the Warriors are hot garbage without Draymond, that the Cavs are fun to watch, and that commentators really really like saying Trayce Jackson-Davis’ full name.

  24. burnerbabyburns

I got a kick out of this performance by the Cavs

  25. Well, we had a good run of playing teams with their best player out with injury.

  26. Mobley and Allen is an insane defensive front court, but on offense they are severely lacking.

  27. krusty-krab69

I dont recommend running 4 gaurds + Draymond against teams with size. Very interesting rotation

  28. itsavirus

I know Dray at the 5 has been our closing lineup for years but Kerr has to realize we are getting out hustled when Allen or Mobley just get free reign on all boards with just him out there.

  29. Otherwise_Window

Had to turn back into a pumpkin at some point. This schedule has been absolutely brutal. Only two home games so far (not in a row), haven’t had two days off in a row since the start of the season, already had a back-to-back (the first of *the most in the league*)… Honestly the players have to be exhausted.

I’m honestly happy this is only the second loss so far and absolutely *thrilled* Kerr didn’t go to heavy minutes for anyone, especially Steph. Avoiding overloading players when the schedule opens with “lol NBA says fuck the Warriors” is critical, because early injuries create a cascade effect as other players have to take on extra load to make up for whoever’s missing.

And hey, this clearly means a lot to Cleveland fans, so that’s nice.

  30. Cul_what

Shoutout Jarrett Allen thank you for the justice Draymond deserves

  31. rookie-mistake

Damn, when’s the last time Draymond put up like 18 pts in a loss?

I always thought him sinking a 3 basically meant a Warriors win, it’s weird seeing him with 2 in a loss.

  32. Earlier-Today

I don’t think the Warriors are going to have a good shot at winning when the only two guys to have a decent shooting night are Curry and Draymond.

  33. nting224

Surprise surprise the whole entire world knows the Warriors is too small

Except for Steve Kerr and the Warriors front office
