As the dust settles following the James Harden trade, the Sixers still have plenty of moves to be made. They kicked this off by making a decision to exercise Jaden Springer’s team option. Sean barnard breaks down why this is a bigger deal than it may seem and his overall outlook moving forward.

Good job. I'd rather we keep him and see if he can polish his offense a bit; tired of us getting rid of young talent for veteran mediocrities or eccentric malcontents.
But watching him a fair bit in the G League, I see he often gets bottled up when he assaults the rim, getting blocked or getting stripped. He doesn't finish explosively above the rim. Contrast that with his dynamic defensive gems. Does he simply lack a quick enough first step or is he somehow a lot more athletic without the ball than with it? Whatever the case, hope Nurse gives him a chance to approach his ceiling.
That is next level athleticism, timing IQ and strength.
KJ Martin , Maxey and Springer are going to grow well. Go get Kai Jones put him in rehab, also Scottie Pippen jr. Would be our future.
Springer is garbage why yall like him? We got way better talent we can get. Like Kevin Porter jr. 23 years avg 20 points just got trouble with the outside of the nba. In Philly we’ll humble him.

Springer has powerful athletic nervous energy. Once he learns how to control it, he's still young. Also, his 3 pt shot percentage is good.
Jaden Springer is another subpar offensive player and very good defensive player. He is struggling on O. However. He needs more reps
