The question we should ask ourselves is this: are they trying to actually win games or are they looking to develop our young players and find out what they can do on the floor?
If you think this is the ideal season to aim for the playoffs, you're probably wrong.
We should aim for the playoffs, we should use this season to experiment with the players, try different lineups, give our players different roles, throw them into the fire and hope they come out as better players and teammates.
Why is everyone so desperate to win right now? Wemby is just 19, you can't just expect a 19 years old kid to carry this team through 82 games, that's how you break him.
We should have many more years for that, so why would they hurry up with that? Patience is the name of the game right now.
As great as Wemby's been playing to start the season, he wasn't making as many plays when he got the ball and iso'd, and that's why his teammates didn't pass it to him every play down the court. But suddenly, he does something amazing off a broken play or off the ball and we're all in hindsight saying that "We should pass him the ball every possession". So it's more about Wemby growing and finding shots that don't suck the energy out the offense and out of his own confidence. Because when your shot isn't falling and it will happen more often as the season goes on, he needs to figure out his go-to spots and what action he needs to get involved in more.
The spurs must have the worst passing backcourt i have seen in years. Why is it so hard to understand that you have a rolling big man who mis faster down the court then any other big man? A guy who is 7.4 and they still pass the ball to his feet or chest…smh. They need to trade for a good point guard.
damn hes already getting 25 attempts if he can be around 70 to 80% on percentage made. this man could average 38 easy maybe more. so unique to watch but as we can see you cant under estimate the champion heart of these NBA teams.
No excuses blowing a 20 point lead as a professional sports team, I don't care that they are "young" this is a rookie nobody coach on the raptors pop should be ashamed. Make better adjustments as a coach
It looked like to me that the spurs were more concerned with “running the set” play for the sake of running it than doing what works and giving the ball to Wemby in crunch time.

Nobody is asking the obvious question: are you utilizing Wemby the right way on offense? They need to find ways to give him more touches.

Vintage Pop💪🏽
Raptor was playing two teams the referee and spur
Pop gets this praise . Im starting to think maybe he might not be the right coach for this type situation
Wemby is going to waste his most important years losing. Trade him to the Warriors, Bucks, or Nuggets asap.

Are the Spurs searching to get the 2024 Draft 1st pick once again? 😬
