Do you think Barnes will really make an All-Star team this season?
Already better than Siakam, he can do anything that Siakam can and better, but Siakam can't perform at that clip consistently. He most certainly does not see the court as well as Barnes, nor can he block shots like Barnes can. Siakam has a great body to be a great defender and at points of his early career was, now he is only known for his spin move. If Siakam was locked in, he could form one of the most dynamic duels with Barnes, but Siakam is into his feelings, not engaged and if he doesn't get himself game ready he could be dead weight for Barnes to carry.

The difference between Scottie and Siakam is that Scottie has the "clutch" mentality, which is what separates NBA stars from average players. I'm impressed by Scottie's early season growth. His 3-pointers are out of this world efficient (should regress from 42% currently to 34-37% by the end of the season). He is also pulling mid-range jumpers more–that is a MUST for a versatile player and forwards of his size. I want to see Scottie to tighten up his handle even more and try to attack in 1-on-1 situation.
I am liking Scottie, OG and Dennis combination. They provide a solid foundation to build upon.

the change in form from 3, especially with the lower half will be the game changer. he is now more comfortable and gettig on his tippy-toes to lauch it.
The difference is he is the central go to dude under the new coach and also his second year slump kind of forced him to look at himself and decide if he want to put forth the hard work to be a all time great. So far its looking good!
I hope Pascal finds his his touch again as as we really need his offence for us to have any chance to be competitive and to get something decent back if we trade him.

I think that Scottie will make . team this year. He is a leader. He plays with intelligence , speed and toughness .These are the qualities that will make him an Allstar.
Although Scottie is doing amazing.. I think we need to keep Siakam and continue to build together. Listening to Siakam’s interviews and perspective on the team, I find him to be an extremely intelligent player with a lot more to offer on and off the court. We need a balance between youth and experience to be a winner. If we can keep this core together and some proper shooting to space the floor the sky is the limit.
@amateurHourSports so do you still believe Schroder isnt an upgrade above FVV? And i find it funny you mentioned Nurse being gone but didnt say anything about how letting FVV move on being a good thing for both the Raptors and FVV.
