Dave McMenamin on X: New story: The Lakers contacted the league office following the loss to Miami, sharing numerous clips showing what the team views as missed foul calls against LeBron James, sources told ESPN

But will this actually change the way he’s officiated going forward? Or will the refs attempt to retaliate against these allegations?

You forgot, the other more identifiable outcome. Every media outlet will pick it up and make fun of the Lakers and Lebron for whining. Like they did in that Boston game
Edit: cleaned up an autocorrect typo

End of the day niggas can say what they want but if your best player is not getting calls and getting smacked tf up every game you will be upset too…

Lets see Luka,Giannis,Tatum,Wemby get smacked several times a game and not get called. Its funny on the outside looking in until its your player(s)

The media and fans of other teams will whine about this but if you watch the games this shouldn’t be a surprise. Hell every year LeBron doesn’t get the whistle he should be getting, and last game he got elbowed in the face without a call

What they be doing to him, kd, and steph is criminal

    W. We started getting way more calls after the Boston game last year. Hopefully these clown refs give us the Giannis/Dame whistle now

I genuinely feel the referees are retaliating for the Eric Lewis situation and place some of the blame with the Lakers and their fans (and Lebron)

Just like NBA players protect their own the refs are a brotherhood too.

Two things are going here with the non-calls. One is that Lebron suffers from Shaq syndrome where he is so much stronger than the guy fouling him that the refs don’t always see the contact because Lebron strength allows him to absorb the contact well.

Second thing is that it feels like the league is moving on from Lebron. Lebron has been the face of the league for awhile but I think the NBA is trying to establish a new wave of superstars which is why Lebron no longer gets the same respect from the refs. Bron is still a superstar but he longer has superstar privilege with the refs.

This is gonna cause the refs many sleepless nights

  9. Well boys time to organize a protest outside the nbas main offices

It’s so stupid how we get flack for doing this but every team sends a report in to the league about the same shit
