Maybe Pop isn’t starting Tre because he’ll eventually be the backup anyway. I don’t think we have our eventual starting PG at the moment. I also don’t see them getting a veteran PG soon.

Sochan is doing a great job. Here is the issue. Dennis Schroeder tore us apart as he did to everyone in the fiba world championships. Such is the calibre of most starting point guards in NBA teams. … we don't have one of them. If we start Tre Jones, yes the offence runs a bit better but these elite points guards run rampart at their end of the court. At least when Sochan plays on them you can see them looking out of their comfort zone WAY more.. The problem is we need an elite point guard. Until then Sochan is the best option. Tre Jones is an excellent 2nd up option, but he can't match the level of these top tier point guards most teams have in today's NBA.
Im so over Sochan running the point and tre being our best point guard is a problem. Both of these dudes are mediocre and constantly waving off Wemby. That is priority one find a tall point guard who will pass and can shoot better than them. Go Spurs Go!
But it seems like Pop is gonna ride the Sochan at point all season no matter how bad it looks. Also I really thought the defense would be better but it's horrible. Losing 2 games by 40 points and blowing two 20 point leads in a 2 week span is bad and rare.

Tre and blake wesly can have more reps and time with wemby but what they are doing?

You dont hire a plumber and make him do the electric works. You draft a forward to play forward. If you want a guard better draft a guard or trade for a guard. Dont try to turn a forward to develop an average point guard in expense of other players

I'm assuming there is something Pop sees in him. Jeremy fixed his free throw, I know he has the work ethic to keep improving. Hopefully the woes now will pay dividends later.
