Hardaway hitting 5 threes and drawing 2 charges was a highlight. He’s really playing well when he’s not doing something crazy.

Lively cannot miss another game.
Overall, this isn’t the worst. We played against one of the biggest teams and best defenses without our 7’1 starting center. However, it is glaringly clear that Holmes and Powell can’t both be on this roster. The second Dwight Powell faces height and length you remember he’s actually not even that good as backup big. Even if its a worse player, our third center needs to be someone with size also.
Timmy continues to play great and stepped in and drew 3 charges today. But Josh Green has been the biggest disappointment this year. If Josh has more trade value, he’s the guy we should be looking to move for a wing with more size and rebounding than he provides.

Maxi, Powell, and Green need fucking look at themselves in the mirror because it’s isnane how bad they are. Powell not even good enough as backup center. Maxi looks legit finished. And Green has reverted to rookie mode.
Also Luka hasn’t been himself this season. His three ball has been saving him but every time he’s off from three he has a stinker of a game.
Reality check.
Maxi isn’t a rotation player on any other NBA team, period. Bro declined so bad after 2022 playoffs.

I cannot believe that Dereck Lively (the rookie) might already be the most essential Mavs player on a team with Luka/Kyrie, for the simple fact that the Mavs rim protection and rebounding is completely nonexistent without him. 70+ paint points for the Raptors LMAO, and 15 offensive rebounds as well.
This was exactly how we lost games at the end of last season. THANK GOD FOR LIVELY AND HIS DEVELOPMENT.
– The only + of that game was Luka and Kyrie dapping up OG at the end. I would do a lot of things for that stud to be a Mav. Elite versatile defender with phenomenal motor, great shooter, sneakily athletic who has bounce off the dribble. Luka-Kai-OG-Grant-Lively is contender status. 0 questions.
– Let’s start with the game itself: giving up 127 points to the Raptors at home is DISGUSTING. They are one of the worst offensive teams in the league. Our perimeter D is awful still. Luka on defense looked like last season, giving up fly-by drives in 1 dribble.
– Dwight Powell and Maxi are the worst bench frontcourt in the league. Both are useless. Please don’t argue this. Dwight is basically useless vs 90% of NBA teams (teams that go small ball and/or have no size). Maxi is simply a bum.
– Green should be our top player to shop. Tired of his low IQ play. Idek what his value is.
– Need another wing starter and backup big ASAP. Are we really relying on Lively to play 25-30 min a game every game? Perimeter D has been awful from game 1 tbh.
– Offense is fine, Luka missing some bunnies at the rim and Kai still iffy from 3, but Hardy and THJ are real sparks. 13 missed team free throws lol. Fix that defense please.
The first part of the schedule was brutal for this team. Home away, then back to back. Lively being out was huge too. I’m really surprised a rookie center is having that much impact.
