I think in a vacuum it seems weird the Rockets are competing. But when you take a step back, they picked up two veterans that never let up, have two top 3 draft picks coming into their second and third season, have a 21 year old European MVP that's shown flashes of greatness and topped it all off with a top shelf coach that holds players about and focuses on defense.
The only surprise should be that it's coming together so soon.
We're legit this year!!!! And we're only getting started! Young guys are still learning, vets still trying to get acclimated to teammates, and a new coaching staff is trying to see what they have and separate the wheat from the chaff! Bare minimum we are in the mix for a play-in spot right up until the end. Best case scenario we are in the mix for 7th or 8th seed.
