bonus points if you discuss a player’s poor performance (they shot 3 for 74) and it’s implied that you’re making a threat on their life

It is frustrating that you can’t get critical without being labeled a hater. However sometimes it turns into just absolute doomer talk like we’ve fucked this whole thing up and everybody on our team is garbage.

    There is a middle ground.

Yeah I love pop but the team clearly doesn’t even run fucking plays. They need to run set plays. It embarrassing.

Usually by the end of the season I’m pretty happy with how patfo handled things, but game to game I certainly can get frustrated and confused about what is going on.

  6. I really don’t know much of the technical side of basketball but Pop is literally the most winningest coach of all time so I’m inclined to trust that he’s got a plan even though it might not look that way day to day… we fans are hyper focused on every move they’re making out there and the fact of the matter is that it is a big picture process that isn’t going to be complete for a while longer

Aside from that our starting 5 have never played together before this season, and the team as a whole is the youngest in the NBA. Wemby is amazing but only a cog in the wheel of Spurs ball (which is exactly what he signed up for so we should be stoked!)

I love Pop. Love. We named our pets after him. PATFO are amazing at building a culture, are highly professional, and can maximize young talent. But what deals have they done? They can’t attract free agents. Maybe an end-of-career star. You could argue for LaMarcus. They rarely make significant trades. Like DeRozan for Kawhi maybe. And that was seen as a loss by most and average by the rest. I see them as overly conservative in player acquisition. Every year I wait for them to do something, anything in the off-season. Crickets. I wait for them to do anything by the trade deadline. They sign a two-way guy from Austin. Maybe. So I’m not upset after a loss. I’m upset because I’ve never seen them do anything. Don’t downvote me. Give me hope. I’ve watched every game since 1988. I want them to be awesome. I’m definitely not a hater.
