The New York Knicks for the entire offseason have seemingly been trying to find that All-Star player that they can trade for. Unfortunately, they haven’t been able to land that superstar yet. But according to one major NBA insider for ESPN, he believes that the New York Knicks are going to make a major trade very soon. And according to another ESPN analyst, he believes that the Knicks are remaining patient and only looking to target Joel Embiid. Troy Mahabir breaks all of this down!

We need to stop thinking about Embiid Morey would never trade an MVP within the division..we should be keeping an eye on Phoenix and D. BOOKER..they have the highest payroll in the league, No point guard, only playing .500 ball & Beal and Durant have age and injury concerns!!!
Joel Embiid is not coming to NY that’s wishful thinking.
Embiid is a rare gem, and would be incredibly fun, however we're likely going to have to sacrifice some nice talent we've been cultivating, a LOT of it. Could be worth it for sure, though.
But, if the Bockers could get Spida with essentially no sacrifice with any of our guys now, then HELL YES, they absolutely could be East Conf finals reps.
It's all about what we'd need to give up for the two options, respectfully.
If we don't have to give up anything we currently have AND get one of those two, (Donovan), it seems obvious to me what we should do.
Educate me, though, I honestly do not know, I'm speculating… Could we get Donovan in the off-season as FA signing with no loss of current assets?
Embiid would require a king's ransom, I'm pretty sure on that.
The Knicks can't trade for anybody. The new cba makes it impossible for the Knicks to trade for anybody. The Knicks are stuck. We gonna be bad for the next 50 years cause of these new rules.
