Are we sure this game ended?
The amount of stoppages this game had was insane.
The last 1:30 of game time felt like half an hour
This should have ended 30 minutes ago
Some say they’re still playing to this very day
the last 2 minutes was a CORY JOSEPH MASTERCLASS
Warriors really need a reliable second scorer
I think they’re definitely better than last year but still a clear tier behind their 2022 team until they can find consistent self creation outside of Steph
This craig porter dudes ft% just tanked
Wild game, wild finish, those GSW commentators were unleashing hell at the end, it was funny.
Warriors need to make a trade to get someone that can create their own shot.
Siakam makes some sense as a trade
Some pretty bad patterns can be found in this first 10 games.
– Going 6-10 points down to start the game. They’ve always liked to feed Wiggs and Klay in the first possessions, clearly it doesn’t work with them playing like this. I feel like the starting lineup +/- is much better in the 3rd, when they don’t force feed Wiggins/Klay every play to start.
-Bench unit, although amazing so far, have spacing and halfcourt offense issues. They are trying Klay instead of Moody, which I like. Although I’m not sure Klay has a bigger impact than Moody atm. They also lose a bit of the hustle and defense identity the bench have.
-Kuminga will have an atrocious first half every game. Missing easy layups, playing overagressive defense which ends with him either fouling and acting surprised like he hasn’t been getting those calls since forever, or getting blown by. Throw some turnovers out there.
He usually plays much better in the second half.
-Klay has to know his limitations and be much, much better. Nothing happen with him isoing a decente defender or bringing uo the ball. His handles are just very, very poor. He also has tunnel vision(shooters shoot) and, although very good in some situations using his gravity, is not a good passer.
-Speaking of poor handles, Wiggins has been the most frustrating player to watch in the whole nba to start the season. I know he’s still getting in shape after the rib injury, but we’re 10 games in and he’s still abysmal. Definitely worrisome.
Its got to the point where I don’t expext Wiggs to make any open 3, and it’s been long since I’ve expected Klay to make a very mildly covered transition layup.
He wasn’t the best athlete, but the contrast between his pre injury self in terms of athleticism is crazy. His foot speed, jumping ability, etc is gone. It especially glaring when trying to get open off ball. He used to get 4 points in cuts and they’ve mostly disappeared. Injuries suck.
On a different note and not to be a crybaby, the Steph 3 in the 1st that didn’t count was a big momentum play. The fact that you can just flop like you’ve been shot to stop a 3 you don’t have any chance at contesting and be rewarded for it is sad and one of the worst things in the nba.
Back to back(again) vs Minnesota tomorrow. The Wolves are absolutely rolling and their defense is the real deal. Hope we get hot from 3
The last time Cavs managed to beat them on the road in reg. season, leading scorers were Spencer Hawes, Dion Waiters and Luol Deng.
That shit took way to long
Klay and Wiggins are actively hurting the team, Wiggs being absolutely horrific(I know his situation after the rib injury). They are also somehow playing even worse than what the already sad statline shows. Dubs record is still decent despite that, but the burden is going to be too heavy unless they figure it out soon.
It’s also not only that they’re missing shots, it’s the anemic effort and poor iq. If they’re involved in any sort of loose ball or fought rebound, they’ll come up empty. It’s hard to root for them when you see the effort guys like Gp2, Podz, Moody, etc play with every damn play.
Fuck it road games only. Make the warriors homeless
The box score notes for the warriors on NBA TV:
*Steph Curry surpasses 22,000 career points*
*Draymond green ejected 3rd quarter (2nd technical)*
Average warriors game summary.
That was the strangest last minute of trash time I’ve ever seen:
Coaches Challenge
Clock breaks
Clock breaks again
Turns into 8 point game with warriors-ball
Cory Joseph sells the game
Steph has scored 20+ points in every game this season. 10 games in, he’s still the only Warriors player to achieve 20 points in a game this season. In 2023, with high scoring and 20+ ppg scorers all over the nba.
The dubs might be the only competent team with only one player able to consistently create a shot for themselves.
The 2022 ring was even crazier than Steph gets credit for imo. Their second best player was Andrew Wiggins. Klay was cold for most of the playoffs, Draymond was bad in games 1-4 of the finals and Poole went from nuclear vs denver to 12 ppg, 18 minutes in the finals because he couldn’t beat nobody off the dribble, nor guard nobody.
The narrative that Poole was a killer all playoffs is funny in how inaccurate it is too. They show his whole playoff stats with no context. He was amazing vs campazzo, monte morris with a gassed Jokic in the first round. He killed Memphis in game 1. After that he wasn’t good.
I ended up rambling lol, but yes, if having 2023 klay and wiggs as your second and third option is not ideal with the amount of superstars/ all nba level offensive talents in the league, both struggling(Wiggs beyond that))+at the same time is a recipe for disaster.
It’s been evident since the playoffs the warriors lack offensive creation. 38 year old cp3 can’t be your second best offensive player if you’re trying to win 4 playoff series. I don’t know how likely it is but the Warriors need a second option like Zach Lavine.
Since the 2018 Finals, Tristan Thompson is 4-3 against Klay Thompson. Can we now declare Tristan the superior Thompson?
What a weird game that was. The Draymond ejection, the delays, the weirdly tight garbage time.
Draymond will be 40 years old and he’ll still get baited with the most simpke tricks. Just to talk about how he’s a mastermind and the difference between him and Dillon brooks is that he doesn’t fall for mental games or some bullshit. His self awareness is zero.
Donavan Mitchell baiting Draymond into getting his second technical. Masterclass.
Wiggins is the worst starter in the entire league right now. 45% True shooting even while getting fed open shots. Horrible free throw shooter, turnover machine, black hole isolation possessions, and lackadaisical defense. The only shots he makes are the wide open dunks created for him from other players.
