Bilal with 20 and good defense, with numbers similar to Deni (better FG% than Deni), but they seem like similar players.

Give me point Deni with Bilal and Kispert and this losing season might feel like an actual rebuild.
What’s Bilal’s ceiling? Who knows? He looks good and confident out there. I just want to watch him grow more and more. I don’t have much to say except he is really talented and it seems like there’s finally exciting talent in DC.
Let Deni run point with this second unit, let him actually feel confident even when he fucks up so in the future he can be a secondary/third ball-handler and a maybe a locker room leader. The guy is 22, is it that crazy to believe he can become somewhat of a vet by 28-29, playing for the same team? No way he should be a point guard for a competitive NBA team, but that’s what tanking is for (that and an actual point guard).
Kispert kinda feels like the odd one out rn, but I think it’s really due to him being surrounded by guys who are willing to shoot ANYTHING, and him trying too hard to prove himself. I’m certain that getting more minutes with this second unit, if they really get credit to run together, will make him better and more confident. I really like his game and I hope he gets some plays drawn for him instead of chucking difficult shots.
I know it’s really far-fetched but imagine those guys in 5 years, plus a first and a third pick – a generational point guard and center. Maybe you flip one, two or all of them for better fits to become more of a contender. It’s a silly fantasy, but that’s kind of how rebuilds are meant to be, fantasising of a better future instead of settling for mediocrity.
Yeah we’re all complaining about Poole and Kuzma had an awful game, but my God, Tyus Jones cannot be a non factor on offense if he’s this bad at defense. Our two lead guards are both defenders you would try to hide in any other scheme— instead we just switch everything and let them get hunted

This is the first loss of the year in which the defense help up for 48 minutes. Unfortunately the offense which had been surprisingly league average to this point, was straight trash.
Deni was real bad but at least he wasn’t passive, Bilal was great and looks ahead of schedule
