If you asked me in pre-season I would’ve said we’d never be higher than 7th in any power ranking, and generally in the 8-12 range, so I’m good with this. Only issue I have is language around “strength of schedule” this early into the season – that’s all just empty filler words right now, and won’t have any meaning until after Christmas. Right now it’s all about Net Rating and the eye test, and we are kicking so much ass in the eye test department, especially in the clutch.

I knew this team would improve, but I would never think the improvement would be so massive and this fast. I mean it’s only 10 games but still it’s night and day

That’s a very reasonable take. I feel like the Mavs are in a solid position. I actually like having the easier games early to help them get up to speed and figure things out. Hopefully they can keep the pace and interior attacking up because that’s doing wonders to open up the 3-point game (which is what I’ve been yelling into my keyboard for the past 5 years)
