I’m a Pacers fan and I just wanted to find out from you guys if you agree with Unseld Jr’s decision to not have Gafford play in the 4th quarter? Gafford had a great game I thought both defensively and offensively and finally wasn’t in foul trouble. Then he doesn’t get a single minute in the 4th even after the Raptors continued to attack the rim. I just really don’t get it. On a side note I know it’s tough right now but hopefully you guys start showing some positive signs and draft a stud this offseason.
That was one of my favorite tank job losses of ALL TIME lmao
WUJ spams Shamet for a quarter after we dominate for 3. He refuses to sub Gafford back in for size, meanwhile we are getting destroyed inside. Then, when we have a chance to tie, we get to see Kuz dribble it out of bounds.
Bilal played so many minutes too. Just incredible all around. One of my favorite loses unironically.

You really can’t complain about any one player dominating the ball and fucking it up. Everyone got a fair shot and failed miserably. Deni even got two awful iso possessions where he got locked up by Malachi Flynn as the cherry on top.

WUJ can’t be the one who gets blamed for missing all those shots at the rim, I’m sorry. I know he has that penchant for blown leads (I always thought Monte deserved more blame) but you can’t watch that execution down the stretch and pin this one on him.

Tanking masterclass
For real though, that was brutal. No gafford for the entire 4th quarter. No baskets for the last 7.5 mins. No challenges used on obvious wrong calls. Stepping out of bounds on the last play. Not fouling with 10 seconds left. I’m all for the tank but this kind of loss loses a lockerroom and all good vibes. I don’t want that, we can’t have the toxicity from the dinwiddie days.
I don’t know if I can watch games like THIS every night. I was ready for losing but this is brutal

Also I’m not sure why Corey wasn’t in the game on that one chance we had to tie or win it.
I’m a Raptors fan and I’m shocked unseld wasn’t ready to challenge the screen foul called on Poole. Poole said he was pushed, quick replay shows he was pushed in the back into Scottie.
Huge moment in the game and that call would have been reversed.
I didn’t see a replay on the out of bounds Kuzma wanted challenged, but Unseld and his staff looked flat.

What’s worse than not challenging on two-straight calls that were the easiest decisions ever? Giving up 70+ points in the paint and deciding to keep playing small all game. Some of the worst coaching I’ve seen in a long time.

This was predictable since we started sliding in the third lol, our offense down the stretch is horrendous. At least Bilal showed some flashes tonight.
Nothing about this is funny. As a coach you don’t let that happen. Tank or not. This culture and team is one of losing and being okay with it. This is not beneficial for guys like Bilal, Kispert, Deni, it’s toxic. And let’s not forget Gafford. Imagine the level of anger and confusion on his part. It’s messed up man. We’re destroying our young guys.
Awful playcalling in the 4th. Great mins by Bilal and Poole (first half anyway). If we had a better coach we would win this easily (which is not a good thing).
The Wizards will end up getting the 5th pick in a draft that will produce zero all-stars. I hope it will be worth it.
