He needs to work on getting his release faster as well. That three was wide open for most of our top 8 guys and he allowed a contest. For an already poor three point shooter, you can’t add any flame to the fire

Hope we’d see him play some real minutes when both Luka and Kyrie have to load manage deep into the season.
If he can secure the board and just have serviceable defense in half court situations he’s gonna be huge for us.

Has more potential than DFS rookie season. Its up to him. The difference is his margin of error now is thin compared to DFS.

IMO – needs to play 30+ mins in G-league for the foreseeable future, shoot 8+ threes a game with no pressure, get reps guarding 1-5, work on his drives and overall skills, with occasional call-ups to help with motivation and to assess progress. Pretty sure the Mavs have something like this in mind.
