One of the most bizarre storylines to start this season has been Jaden Ivey. After a promising rookie season. Ivey was a player many believed would be a breakout candidate in year 2. Now I was a bit skeptical of Ivey taking that leap due to guys like Ausar Thompson and Jalen Duren who I am higher on as both short and long term prospects.
But the start to this season is odd. Ivey is seeing less minutes despite being even more productive on a per minute basis, and being significantly more efficient to start this season compared to his rookie season. So, what’s going on? That’s what I want to talk about in this video.

They really doing him dirty
He should be starting because the Pistons suck anyways but on any good team he would have to come off the bench his defense is very bad hopefully long term he can correct it to at least be close to average playing more would probably help
Yes he is playing less minutes, but I apreciated Monty choice in not playing half match each palyer in back court for lack of a decision. Ivey start on the pine. PS I think that the lesser role now is beneficial for his shooting efficiency and TO ratio.

Ivy's plight the season is strictly on the new regime. For whatever reason Monty Williams is not feeling him.
