KU my team since Wilt…hate Kentucky…that game was gut wrenching .. shocked they took it…Senior with big game… center is a force.
Slow down, complainers and armchair coaches! This game is a test-drive for both teams. Both teams will be at another level in a couple of months.

Jayhawks-best team money can buy. Caught by the FBI paying players and never got penalized by the NCAA. Self should have been fired. Everyone caught by the FBI that year was hammered except Kansas. #1 against #16 and you’re bragging about barely winning.

Dillingham is the only playmaker I see everybody else just scorer’s and ball hogs wth is he not starting he controlling the tempo an running the pg at a high level only play maker I see on the team
Wagner had trouble finishing against bigger more athletic defenders. If he does learn to be a credible distributor he's going to have problems.
He's just not big enough to finish at the rim like he did in high school where his speed carried him …and his shooting is nothing special.
Dickerson is still unstoppable damn but all I seen from this game is one thing Kentucky think this is high school with these shots they put up and idccccc 12 is a damn ball hog

Looking like kentuckys best ball is played with Sheppard at the 1. I wonder if calipari is effected by the big names of some of his guys. From my perspective I see Dj as his own worst enemy. For him to be one and done he has to show true innate point guard ability which is causing him to force the issue. As far as the intangibles go you don’t see much of him celebrating his teammates but instead overcompensating by issuing commands. It’s very forced to fit the natural mold of a PG and you can sense the tension. Edwards is an undersized power forward with no guard ability taking up space on the perimeter only to duck his shoulder when he gets the ball and then try to elevate. If Kentucky wants to win egos will have to be bust and Reed is going to have to take that pg spot for now.
Rob definitely needs to start no reason he should be coming off the bench.
Dajaun needs more recognition as the best pg in the nation
This Kentucky team isn't great yet, but they are further along to start the season than the UK teams of the last few years. It's clear this team needs time to gel and define roles for the players in crunch time, but all the pieces are there. Perimeter scoring, size and athleticism inside, shooting + perimeter shot creation. Just need better shot selection and composure from the guards.
They beat a UK team that has nothing in the middle yep it is early but i take UK all day with a full roster hope we will meet them again in NCAA when we are #1 seed and they are a#3 seed

Sheppard played too many minutes and took a stupid shot in the final minutes, pretty productive first half/ Kansas went on a run soon as he checked in the second half, Sheppard left hand is weak! I get it he has high IQ but the kid isn’t gifted as Rob or DJ with the ball shit Theiro handle is better than Sheppard’s.. But he’ll get a chance after chance like that sorry kid from Iowa last year smh
Jeez, what a game. It felt like it was February or March, not November. Kansas’ experience eventually prevailed, but Kentucky, with their big men back, will look like maybe the best team in the country. Never seen a young team play like this. May have been a few grey area ref calls both ways, but unless the refs had ‘Clockwork Orange eye openers’, they could have easily missed them. As a Kansas fan, I’m gonna have to keep my eye on Kentucky over the next several games to see whether Kentucky gets dangerously better. Also, noticed this ‘highlight’(thanks Matthew) is over 35 minutes long! The whole game was a highlight.

I'm a die hard Kentucky fan, but Calipari needs to go.
He's not getting them far in the tournaments like he used to.

The UK team has what 2 players back and this is their 3rd game WITHOUT ANY of their Centers. Yeah Dickinson will NOT GET 27 against guys that are 7ft and dint look for Justin Edwards to only score 4 and Wagner 1 very often. Cant wait to see a FULL Kentucky team play this number 1 team again. I hope we play KU in the title game. Would be fun to beat them in it again.
UK started the game on a 9-0 deficit and then came back to take what was a 14 pt lead at 1 point all while being down all their bigs, playing against the best big in the country and one of the best coaches in the country vs a team that has veterans. I am extremely impressed with how well they did, and it took some UK mistakes and heroic effort by Hunter Dickinson and Dejuan Harris to have a career game to even bring them back to have a chance vs this young UK team. And to top it off DJ Wagner and Justin Edwards neither one played well. This should be the best team Calipari has had since pre COVID. Their young and have to learn how to execute down the stretch and close games. Alot to be excited about for this team and this was a heck a game.

Kentucky is the better team clearly. Bad shooting night from their guards, outside of Rob, and they had none of their 3 centers.
As a Kansas fan idk why Kentucky is only ranked 17. When they get their big men back and the freshmen get comfortable they’re gonna be a problem.
