  1. Video above

    Additional video: https://twitter.com/PHLY_Sixers/status/1724927203635343562

**Reporter from channel 6 said they heard that sources from the police department believes that this wasn’t a hit and run**

    Reporter asks

    >**”Has the team, had a conversation with him where he explained in detail what happenend”.**

    Nurse:

    >**As far as I’m aware, yes**

**Nurse also clarified that he believes Kelly.**

From listening to the whole video, imo, the reporter asking Nurse implies she is asking him if the team asked him about this newest report. But the way Nurse responded to previous questions, he just heard about this new report(he claims), makes me think he is answering the initial inquiry by the sixers on what happened.

    For people not aware:

“Surveillance video does not show hit-and-run against Sixers’ Kelly Oubre Jr. in Center City, police say”

    https://www.inquirer.com/news/kelly-oubre-jr-hit-car-76ers-police-evidence-20231115.html

The hit was around **1400 block of Spruce Street and Hicks Street** for my fellow Philly people.

    >After being struck by the car, Oubre Jr. walked to Spruce and Hicks streets where he was found by medics.

    >The player was reportedly walking near his residence when he was struck. He was transported to Jefferson Hospital, where he was listed in stable condition.

if this was a hit and run, its a crazy thing to happen

if this wasnt a hit and run, its even crazier.

this fucking franchise, man. its almost like we are being trolled by some kind of supernatural entity

  3. shredditor75

I’m not one for conspiratorial thinking. Do the police have total coverage of the cameras at that intersection at that time?

The recovery time is pretty suspicious, but I never jumped from no recording = no event.

Is there some sort of alternative explanation out there?

I’m still inclined to take Kelly at his word

  4. Altruistic_Fun3091

Seems we live in a time when nothing is straightforward.

Regardless…here’s wishing Kelly a quick recovery and move past the incident.

  5. -TheRedFerret-

Why would Kelly lie about how he injured his ribs and sustained the bruising and minor cuts ? Why would he cry wolf and makeup such an extreme story of being a victim of a hit and run ? The entire situation is fucking weird … idk man .. but FTC until we figure this shit out ..

  6. Science4me12

I thought it should be obvious for medical professional to tell if the injury is caused by geeting hit by a car?

  7. maudeblick

I think all the speculation is really disgusting and deranged. Let the man live and recuperate!!!!

  8. chikinbizkit

I’m trying to stay positive this season so I’m choosing to believe Oubre is telling the truth but why is this team so goddamn weird all the time?

Just be fucking normal for once fuck

  9. Whoa I was not expecting this (which is dumb of me)? They had my curiosity with the hit and run. They have my attention with the conspiracy.

  10. Yellowperil123

*Why can’t you be normal? – Screaming Kid* meme

  11. allianceofficer

Why in the world are people thinking Oubre lied about this? If anything I’d be more inclined to think it’s incompetence or a cover up.

  12. Doobie_Howitzer

Hold up? Are people calling him a liar because he couldn’t remember the exact street/intersection he was at when HE GOT HIT BY A FUCKING CAR?!

  13. thisisbyrdman

What’s the point of lying about this though?

This clip ([https://twitter.com/PHLY_Sixers/status/1724927203635343562](https://twitter.com/PHLY_Sixers/status/1724927203635343562)) gives more cause for concern. Howard Eskin in the first clip is referencing the report that there is no video surveillance of the hit-and-run. Annie McCormick (6abc, crime reporter) interrupts with, what seems to me, a more concrete position from the police department: **”What we are hearing from sources within the police department is that, they think that this might be a situation where what he [Kelly Oubre] is reporting happened did not, in fact, occur – that his injuries were not sustained from a hit-and-run…”**

These are direct sources from the police to 6abc. Crazy. Anyways, FTC

If there is no weirdness to the wording like all the crazy people in the other thread told me then why did nurse even need to comment on it!? I was told that I was insane for even daring to believe the wording of the original report was weird. If it was so normal then why did nurse even need to comment on it?

  16. why the fuck does this shit always happen to us

  17. springwaterh20

this is the most 76er thing of all time

  18. National-Belt5893

So the conspiracy theory is that he either had a DV incident at home or was doing something reckless like riding a dirt bike, got injured, then walked to a random intersection near his apartment to call an ambulance. If something happened at home, they’d have video of him leaving the building. If he was doing something else reckless like riding a dirt bike, there’d still be video of him walking in the area to get to where he wanted to stage the call to medics.

Seems like he probably just didn’t know what block he was on.

  19. fireman2004

Hopefully he learned from Jussie and didn’t write a check when he paid the guy to hit him /s

  20. DrToboggan76

These conspiracies are ridiculous. As someone that unfortunately has had to deal with Philly PD and videos, I would have been shocked if there *was* video at this point. Even when we know a correct address and time, PPD still fails to acquire video all the time.

  21. StPatricksButtrash

I believe Oubre whole heartedly, Philly cops just suck at tracking cars for hit and runs. My brother lost an arm in a hit and run where he was cutoff and his truck flipped near the manayunk exit on 76. Cops “couldn’t” find any cameras of a car leaving that exit at all.

  22. CauliflowerFront3706

On citizen app it said the accident happened around 11th and market. Maybe Kelly got confused when crossing broad street. If you don’t know the area, all of the side streets could be confusing.

Really hope he got hit by a car at this point and there isn’t any more drama. I cant handle this!!!!

  23. Yodzilla

It was me, I beat up Oubre and he’s just ashamed to admit it.

  24. How2Mate8

What if he comes back… and forgot how to shoot!!!
