[95.7] Brandin Podziemski on Draymond’s role in the scuffle: “From my perspective, I just saw Draymond stand up for his teammate. I wouldn’t want to have any other teammate in that situation besides Draymond…That’s the great part about being Dray’s teammate. He’ll stick up for you no matter what.”

My respect for Podz has grown even more

  2. CummingInTheNile

told yall, locker room will support this

  3. I’ll listen to the players first who were on the floor before the all reddit nephews and NBA media analysts try to paint Draymond again as some sort of evil NBA villian. Podz statement is a first hand account and how the team feels about it.

The Athletic podcast all said similar things. In the locker room everyone was backing Dray for standing up for a teammate. People act like they always stand by him but it was clearly different from how they talked about the last ejection which was basically “he needs to know better” and definitely the Poole punch which was “he needs to earn back our trust”.

Standing for your teammate is a great sign of brotherhood. Just don’t overdo it if you have a history of violence.

The thing I keep returning too is all the people who call Draymond (especially self-proclaimed Dubs fans) *reckless*, *dangerous*, a *menace*.

Who has *ever* gotten hurt to the point they missed games by *anything* Draymond has done?

I’ve seen a ton of players do stupid stuff to get themselves or other players injured (looking at you and your “*rep*” Dillon Brooks) and come away with 1 game suspensions after actually injuring people.

But they can’t keep it consistent because it isn’t consistent and it’s deliberately targeted. Draymond is the only player I’ve ever seen get retroactive ejections.

Exactly this. Players love draymond for it and that’s really all that matters

Just in: NBA rookie doesn’t want to say anything public that goes outside what the team/coach is saying.

What was he sticking up for Klay for? Because Rudy got in the way of Klay/McDaniels? Rudy sure was looking menacing out there last night.

  9. Kingofthefall2016

LOL so was Jordan Poole not on the Warriors last fall?

The refs trying to say that Gobert was trying to play peacemaker, but why put your hands on the other teams player then? Go remove your own teammate. And don’t give me that crap that Klay was closer to Gobert, the difference isn’t that significant that you can’t move over to pull your own teammate away. Should Draymond have put Gobert in a choke? No. But Gobert absolutely knew what was going to happen if he put his hands on Klay.

Jesus fuck y’all are delusional never played basketball dorks

Some of these 🤡s on our sub probably the friend that does nothing but stand and watch while their friend gets beat up. Nonetheless have any friends at all. I ride with Dray all day. Waiting for the “other people can have opinions too you know.” Comment.

Dray’s the type of guy you want to have on your team.

But if you’re the opponent, you hate his guts.

Live by the Dray. Die by the Dray.

    ✌️

Is that Steph’s security hairdresser in the sweats?

  15. mangotail

Yeah having someone like Dray on your side is amazing. He’s clearly extremely loyal on you gain his trust and respect. That being said, I just wish Dray tone is down ever so slightly. I love that he’s willing to have his guy’s back no matter what, but a shove would have been enough rather than a chokehold lmao

  16. teewyesoen

He’s like an old school enforcer. Sadly a position that has almost disappeared across sports.

So … checking some of the other threads … some T-wolves fans started a conversation about how glad they were KAT did not join in, saying things like he had winning the game as his priority.

I don’t know what to think of this. I’m 52, though.

If I was near anybody that had my teammate in a headlock the way Dray had Gobert, I’m not even thinking. I would be on Draymond, even if I am nothing but a flea biting his ear (metaphor). KAT just stood there.

I’d be worried about KAT and Gobert not having trust in each other if I was. T-Wolfe fan.

I’m glad everyone has Drays back but could someone have Steph’s back and score some points

This sub should be studied for examples of cult mindset right now. Actively fostering collective group delusion rather than acknowledging you all have been rationalizing someone who is a douche bag among douche bags.
