This isn’t calling for pop or wright’s head but damn I wish we came into the season with a more competitive roster. I’m not saying we should have sold the farm but we should be gearing towards being competitive this last summer. Wemby is the guy already. Yes he will get better but he is ready to compete now and sitting on our assets completely seems like a waste when you have a rookie fuggin dpoy candidate who can also put up 40 on a good night for Christ’s sake.

I threw $10 on him a week or two ago because why not, it’d be fun, but realistically it’s going to take an absurd turnaround for the team as a whole to make him a contender this year. Gobert would probably also need to fall below the 65-game minimum.

Pretty nuts considering our overall team defense is shit, but anyone can see how much pressure he places on opposing teams.

No matter how good he is defensively this season, there’s no way he wins it if he’s on a team that is this bad at defense.
Until the team’s defense can be at least respectable(which will take a lot of improvement/upgrades from the rest of the roster and Wemby being better at helping), Victor doesn’t have a chance at the award.
