The saying I always hear is that Haliburton is the better facilitator and fox is the better shooter. I get maybe fox is a “better” pure scorer but Tyrese is literally also a better shooter than him?!?! Where the hell are people getting the “fox is a better shooter” narrative?

They’re looking at the points scored. That simple. I love r/nba but if you read it you’ll realize most people just pay attention to their own team and kind of brush over everything else, and a lot of folks want to defend the status quo of like “player ranking.”
I think people are just easily impressed by athleticism and “swagger” when dribbling.
And they want to shoehorn people into easily definable categories.
I’ve never heard anybody say Fox is the better shooter.
Better player? Yes
Better scorer? Heard it too
But better shooter? Never heard of it.
Who are you arguing with?
Pacers fans are thrilled with Hali. Kings fans are thrilled with Fox. Anything about one vs another is just nephews on r/nba being bored. Both are fantastic players who fit their rosters very well. Happy for both teams.
Nobody says fox is a better shooter. He’s shooting pretty well this season for his standards so far though
Thank you for sharing! Here is the link to the Stathead search, if anyone is interested 🙂

I’ve never heard better shooter
Just that he’s a better scorer and player.
