Shoutout to house and Springer, along with Harris and a sick game out of Embiid. We don’t need a lavine we just need a secondary ball handler and some defense let’s not sink our cap room with a lavine type contract. We finally got ourselves a solid athletic squad. Hopefully batum is back Sunday so they can build some chemistry.
Really great looks from the entire team. Definitely still sloppy at times but a good bounce back on a hard week. I think our pace will pick up once Oubre is back.
Just you watch, if Nurse has the belief Springer gonna turn into OG (my optimistic wishful thinking)
Embiids awareness of the double team has regressed this year so far.. Also he has been lazily passing the ball into danger many times this season
Great game from Embiid. Would love to see him put emphasis on limiting turnovers but happy to see he’s back to 100% after that hip.
So does this basically end the Hawks tournament chances? Group stage still throws me off
We won the cup game today so the tournament is not dumb any more sooo back to
WE WANT THE CUP
Springer is still raw as shit, but he’s going to develop into a very nice player. I think Nurse keeps him in the lineup but with lesser minutes when Oubre and Batum come back.
Trae Young welcome to Springer jail
More Springer more minutes please. The dude is possibly already the best on ball defender we have and he needs on court experience to develop his offense.
Even better, we already have him under contract and can probably keep him at a reasonable price if he just reaches an attainable Melton level offensive game. Guys in his mold are perennial playoff difference makers.
hawks need to tear it down. their team just doesnt work unless they want to fight for a play in spot for the next 5 years
I tune into the Bulls game and immediately Lavine hits 2 straight contested 3ms lmao
melton ruined my parlay by 1 ft. why was he even in the game? 36 minutes bruh cmon. game was over. laaaame.
we are so back
House gave a great interview actually
Looks like Springer did good
Maxey is too passive this just isn’t gonna cut it, only 13 shots kinda sucks OTTN with him I guess
At least they got the IST W
I love 40 combined minutes for Springer and House
Tobi could’ve had 30 but he let springer eat
Dude that D House interview was awesome. Seems like such a good dude who has really bought in to the philosophy this season. Loved his effort on both ends tonight
I know we are down Batum and Oubre, but I’m not loving the minute load on Maxey/Embiid/Tobi. Hoping Nurse can find a way to trim those guys minutes down a couple a game each.
I used to play like Jaden Springer. He is reckless on purpose.
When I see Springer play as he is now it reminds me of how I used to play and it is frustrating and pisses me off that the NBA allows it. Not proud of it, I was known as Shaq on my local streetball court and went through a phase when I charged hard at everything. Big hard turns to my blindside, didn’t care who was there. Charge right into the lane. Smash into the best offensive player on D while going for the ball, come what may. Limited offensive moves. So make no mistake about it. Springer knows what he’s doing. He knows people will be injured. He knows his skillset is limited and this is how he can win. He knows people will give way when he drives, think twice on their drives, etc. He will only be stopped by a stronger player and/or fearless players like Giannis, Gasol, Draymond, etc. Or by an obviously more skilled player with equal Type A like Ibaka. He didn’t intend to injure, but he certainly intends to show you that he doesn’t care if you get hurt when he rumbles into you. At least that’s how I used to play. But that was streetball. Eventually I got more moves, played w better players, played real basketball w refs. There’s no doubt in my mind the NBA has some kind of edict coming down, telling the refs to let him run amok.
Oubre, Melton, Paul Reed, House, RoCo, Batum, Pat Bev, Springer… that is an absolutely stacked bench. Now we just need 2 Starters. lol
I think we need to shout out Reed for limiting his fouls so far this year. He’s been playing much smarter this year.
Springer can play. But he’s basically a SF on offense and can guard the opponents best guard on defense.
He needs mins but he always needs to be in with guys who can relieve him of ball handling and shot creation so he can just play his role
I was pretty shocked Maxey sat so long in the beginning of the fourth. It worked out but his early fourth minutes has been where he has been shining the brightest
Didn’t get to watch much of this game but Springer was really good from what I saw, hope we’ll see more of him in the next few games
There is not a single player on the roster that Morris should play over.
It’s the weekend, we drank, sixers won, and we got gyros. Good stuff
Haha eat shit denver
If we’re a top 2 seed in the East and Tobi is still averaging an efficient 21-7 he’ll probably make his first ASG this year
Free Lavine and Caruso.
Who’s a better player Marcus Morris or Montrezl Harrell from last year?
Springer needs to stay in the rotation. Every time he touches the floor, good shit happens.
fuck the clippers but their ist court at least doesn’t make me go fuckin’ blind
Notes/Takeaways:
1. embiids passing – someone on here said it looked like he regressed. i think that is definitely not true. 8 assists and honestly should have had more (off top of my head jaden missed a gimme at the rim and melton missed another one). Biggest weakness is still passing out of the double. Would say its slightly improved from 22-23, but still not great. Open court reads with cutters has been awesome (especially with how willing d house and jaden are to cut)
2. jaden – mentioned above but loved seeing him cut. Underrated playmaking too, haven’t seen anyone talk about that. Few really good kick outs to wide open shooters in fast break and off of a pass in half-court. Also put trae in jail.
3. marcus morris probably wouldnt start for the guangdong tigers.
on to the next one, hope nico back for sunday
Bring me lavine
Who’s the guy that posted that batshit trade with Harris and all of our picks the other day?
Harris has been clutch this season and this game was money.
Jaden springer has the weirdest collection of skills I’ve ever seen in an nba player. Elite defender. Elite rebounder for his size. Bad shooter. Terrific finisher. Surprisingly good passer/playmaker. Cannot dribble.
I missed the game tonight. How did they look overall?
We have good depth, oubre, harris, batum and roco is a good group of SF/PF, we just need other shot creator. This team dont need trade for a bench level player
jaden springer looks like he double jumps every time he goes to the rim
Glad we won, but good Lord we need Batum and Oubre back
