Zach’s making 40.1M this year, so I’m assuming the 39M bit refers to yearly salary rather than his whole contract because that number is too specific. If he’s not gonna be as rich as Zach then, that would imply at most only one team has removed themselves from the conversation. Which I’m almost certain is not what he was trying to imply.

poorly worded and super salty/condescending, but this is pretty much how everyone felt besides #8 flairs that downvoted any zach dissidence to oblivion for basically the last 3 years.
Should’ve traded him before the max, giving him a max was inevitable when it became time. Scraps are still better than letting him walk, but it is poor management.
It means interest around the league is lukewarm, and that last bit is a dig on how much Zach makes. Lukewarm probably due to the salary as I’m reading it.
