the ONLY statistic i care about really is “championships won”.
now im curious if we’d be the highest if we weren’t comparing 11 games to a full season. surely other teams have started strong before. it’s a long season/battle/war

God dam MJ lol dem bulls weren’t a joke

I feel like at quick glance, the high majority of those teams won a championship
Forward-Form9321
Let’s see if we keep it up for 82 games. If that’s the case, I feel pretty confident about the playoffs
TrashMongrelson
Goddamn, I knew those 15-16 Spurs were incredible but I never realized they actually had a higher net rating than the 73-9 Warriors. Two of the most statistically dominant teams ever and neither won the championship.
ImDKingSama
Obviously sample size matters but thought it’d be fun to compare to other great stretches during the past two years.
21-22 Celtics from Jan 23rd to April 10th: 35 GP, 120.2 ORTG, 104.8 DRTG, 15.5 NETRTG
22-23 Celtics from Nov 3rd to Dec 8th: 19 GP, 121.9 ORTG, 110 DRTG, 11.9 NETRTG
hamburglar01
Surprised the 86 Celtics aren’t on this list as they are usually considered one of the greatest teams of all time. Just looked it up and their net rating was 9.2, so just outside this list.
newtothistruetothis
I actually believe in this team to win, but it must be said we know how we started last year too.. historically great
blaird993
Is Jayson Tatum already better than Michael jordan?

That 08 season was magical

We need a banner for “best NETRTG”. The Colts would be proud.

Let’s not make any claims until end of the season.

The only thing I can gather from this is the 95-96 bulls 😭 that’s just so insane
TwistedApe
3 things stand out from this list: Crazy that the Celtics only appear on this list once. Also Jordan’s Bulls were just ridiculous. And shame that Pachulia made that dirty play in game 1 against those 16-17 Spurs; that was an incredible team and was shaping up to be a great conference finals matchup with the Warriors

It’s interesting that there’s only one Lebron team in there, but 4 Jordan teams and 3 Steph teams. Does that say anything about Lebron other than him having a worse supporting cast in his career?
Wonderful_Eagle_6547
The ’47 Washington team was sick defensively.
iamamuttonhead
For all the shit PP is getting about his shitty shooting – he is fifth in the NBA (the top 4 are all Celtics) in net rating.
kpopvapefiend
Obviously, it’s a small sample size, but my main takeaway is that this team doesn’t even have to shoot well to win.
Their size on both ends just creates so many mismatches. They haven’t even figured out how to maximize each other yet.
They will just overwhelm the bottom 20 teams with talent and get lots of blowouts. They could definitely finish with a double digit net rating.

Jayson Tatum > Michael Jordan …. Confirmed 😏
I just hope all of that leads to #18 🏆
STOP THE COUNT
And they did it in less games! Incredible!
let’s see where it’s at after 82 games.
