This particular guy does it like every single time. I don’t know who he is but he has this dumb habit of trying to put doubt in the viewer’s head immediately after something great happens. I’ve absolutely heard him go *”BUT WAS IT A 3!?”* in similar situations where it was indisputably a 3. He does it just to be a dick.
Steph could drop a full court shot and this idiot would still be like “bUt WaZ hIs fOoT bEhInD tHe LiNe!?”

Warriors have some of the worst announcers in the league for sure

Warriors announcers are bottom tier. They literally make stuff up as we watch the replay of whatever they’re discussing.
Homerism is annoying especially with the warriors broadcast. But it is part of sports. Even if they’re teaching a legion of young warrior fans the wrong idea of sportsmanship.
Eventually warriors fans will understand how to deal with losses because their window is closing for good this season
I think there are too many posts about the warriors on /nba and I think we would all be better off without posts like this. You shouldn’t care about another teams local broadcasters, you just really shouldn’t, I can’t imagine how it’s worth anyone’s time.

As European who basically watches games the day after Im sometimes baffled how shit the commentating is.
Sometimes I feel like the commentators are more busy sucking each other off or reading stat lines (or sheets) than anything else.
I think it’s definitely an added value to mention things like ‘player x played good last game(s)’ etc, but just adding random info most of the time adds nothing to the game.
Luckily not every game this is tue case, but Ive watched some where it was just annoying as fuck
This wasn’t even the worst moment. Earlier in the 4th the Warriors had an unsuccesfull challenge for a foul against SGA. Wiggins fouled SGA and after that got a clean block. During the replay the casters kept cpmplaining that the whistle didnt come after the foul but after the block, which was a second later. Literally complaing that the refs don’t have super human reaction speed.
The only time I’ll allow this is if people are calling plays for that wife beater’s name. I have huge respect for Eric Collin’s yesterday because that dude just called the play as nonchalantly as he could. Usually he would scream on the top of his lungs whenever lamelo threw a lob at him. I think he even made a slight jab at him (although I’m not sure if that was intentional or not).

Just standard Warriors announcers. They’re awful. I expect local announcers to be biased homers but most local announcers will at least call obvious shit fairly because it’s obvious even it goes against their team. Warriors announcers do everything in their power to cast doubt over the most obvious shit ever, if it happens to go against them.

I feel like I’ve seen somebody comment on how ass the warriors commentators are like every other day in here this season. Not without reason too these guys are awful.
Don’t watch Warrior broadcasts – they are breeding the worst type of fans and piss off every other fan base… homerism taken to an extreme… they are practically the worst fans making excuses for their players and crying foul at every turn.

Those announcers are the Fox News of the NBA. It is 100% the reason why the fanbase is insufferable because they’ll parrot their inane takes IRL and cry fake news about Draymond 100%, it’s exactly where that Sabonis being a dirty player came from.
I feel the opposite. Its always fun hearing the opposing team cope
There’s nothing that I hate more than biased commentators, and watching the NBA on League Pass stokes my anger with it constantly. Everything is just a constant stream of favouritism:
– Opposing player scores a basket in the paint? Looks like he travelled.
– Home team player gets a foul called on them? Referees will call anything these days. Also, probably a flop.
– Home team scores a basket but doesn’t get a +1? Referees don’t call anything these days.
– Opposing player does something spectacular? Non-plussed reaction, maybe even the best time to talk about ticket sales for the upcoming home game schedule.
All I want is impartial commentary, treating both teams and every player fairly, so that people are getting the most accurate account of what is happening. You know, the actual job of a commentator.
And don’t get me started on only referring to home team players by their first names (or worse, nicknames). They’re not your friends, they don’t want to hang out with you, stop treating them like they’re your buddies. We had an infuriating instance in the Nuggets/Pelicans game this week where both Naji Marshall and Zeke Nnaji were both being called “Naji” by the Pelicans announcers which is just unnecessarily confusing.

I am SO glad people are finally noticing how ass the warriors commentators are. It sucks too since I live in the area, everytime I hear them at a bar or resturant. It’s like steph, dray, and Klay can do no wrong but they can and have. The draymond chokehold wasn’t seen as a moment where he criticized dray, instead he criticized GOLBERT of all people.
The hornets commentator tho…..he’s up there as one of my favorites

They’ve been bad since We Believe but nobody was watching them back then. Fitz should’ve lost his job back in the 2010s, so we could’ve been spared his horrendous choir boy giggly voice from tainting all of Steph’s highlights.
Jazz announcers aren’t great. I love you Thurl, but you have no presence on the mic. Makes me miss the Hot Rod Hundley days.

Our announcers are pathetic and they do this all the time. Chet’s shot was insane, so fuckin lame to no-sell it.
I remember a game when Steph and Jae Crowder (of all people) were trading game winning 3s, and they just stopped speaking when Jae hit his. They’re a joke.
warriors bum ass commentators in the preseason were moaning and groaning that the kings were “trying too hard” to win the game but then proceeded to celebrate steph curry hitting a game winner with 5 seconds left like it was jordan’s 6th ring or something
In the few clips I heard of Warriors’ announcers, I’ve grown to quickly despise them. They’re spoiled from the dynasty times along with me being spoiled with the best commentary duo in the league.

The Lakers literally have the best commentators in the league. Not biased ever when our guys are fucking up they call it out. When another guy on a team posters us or goes off they always hype them up even if it annoys me a little bit. Warriors commentators I think they feel their job is too shit on the other team the contrast is night and day
