Got to sit behind the Bulls bench last night.

Had some great seats last night for the epic comeback win against the Heat, but hadn’t checked in with the sub till a bit ago following the Bears game. There seems to be a lot a noise regarding Zach LaVine, and felt I could shed some light on what was seen and heard from up close. Details in the comments.

As soon as the game ended, the coaching staff and Zach quickly exited the court while the rest of the team celebrated, high-fived, and said whatup to Heat players.

As you can see, the woman behind Zach was trying to get him to do the post game. She attempted to grab his jersey from behind to get his attention several times, and by the time they reached the front of the tunnel Zach spun around quickly and yelled, “I’m fucking tired.” While there may have been incidental contact when he spun around, which was definitely sudden, I didn’t see anything that looked like Zach intentionally tried to push or make contact with the woman.

That being said, the aggressiveness with which he yelled at her did catch me off guard, to the point I texted a buddy commenting on it. I didn’t think too much of it till seeing the post today about Cowley’s article. I get that Zach may have been tired, or could have been frustrated with another terrible start, who knows, but it was definitely a weird look. I’m not surprised the Bulls would want to address it internally, and whatever you think of Cowley (and I’ve made my unfavorable opinions of him clearly on here before) he’s just doing his job as far as I’m concerned regarding this story.
