Front office has to nail the Pascal/OG situations because if they don’t get max value, they’re forced into tanking to get actual young difference makers.

At this point, it’s just becoming bad management. I get that rebuilds can get ugly and take time, but…. This is getting ugly and we don’t have anything to show for it

I wonder if MLSE would even allow a proper rebuild. I’m talking, potentially, multiple years of being a 20-30 win team. Could they simply shut down that type of direction…?

“Trust in Masai” probably has gone from 60/40 to 30/70 now. There’s a big shift amongst casual and non casual fans realizing other teams got great futures that lie ahead where as we pretty much belong with the Bulls (another team that has individual talent but has almost ZERO chemistry and cohesion). We aren’t going to magically build that either. Barnes is going to continue to improve and become a top 10 player in this league. Book that. However, Trent, Precious, Flynn, are players that need new homes cause its not over here. Precious is god awful. Flynn is meh. Trent hurts chemistry b/c he doesn’t play smart basketball anymore. Boucher just has moments, but is he a consistent player? Not really. Siakam is really the one great talent on our team that we could hopefully sign and trade but at this point its looking like he might walk for free. OG = unknown what’s going to happen b/c there’s going to be at least 3-4 teams that are going to clear up a max level extension spot for him this summer. Yes, Dennis has surpassed expectations but he’s not a life changing PG and he’s not particularly young but no fault on him – he’s doing the best he can. Team product wise is just not it. There has to be massive changes and a brand new reset with some brand new players we can root for. And Koloko? Masai needs to stop with this bullshit. PS: Jaden McDaniels is ass
Okay I mean 20-20 vision here, we should have traded Siakam, FVV 2 seasons ago, right when we traded Lowry away.
Letting FVV walk for no assets hurt. Now Siakam in the same boat with 1 trade deadline coming up.
It’s going to be interesting. The roster will not click as presently constructed, as much as the front office is hoping. They need major upgrades.
At the same time, 6 teams that rebuilt and what will be the total amount of championships?
OKC (Shai and loaded) and Spurs (GOAT level prospect) probably have the best chance. I seriously doubt the others sniff at one as presently constructed.
There’s no easy path to a championship, and I think the posters on this board should appreciate that sentiment more than others.
