The Pistons have the worst record in the league at 2-13. They have also had the easiest schedule in the league so far, and have the toughest schedule in the league ahead of them

They’re tied with the grizzlies in terms of schedule toughness but the grizzlies are 3-11.

Needless to say it is a tough time for detroit basketball

We get it , pistons are bad. Thank you for this amazing revelation

  2. Atl-Fan_FTS

Well if they play the hawks they will probably get a win so at least they have that to look forward to

  3. CamReddish

Don’t think it matters that much, they are worse than all the teams in the league, but they might win one occasionally out of every 10 games no matter who they play due to a fluke shooting night

  4. Equivalent_Bet1519

Even two of their harder matchups in Milwaukee and Denver had Giannis and Jokic both get ejected and the Pistons still failed to close it out

  5. It’s a shame they have been missing 30% or more of their roster all year. They probably could have 5 wins at this point. Which still isn’t good but it’s better than 2-3

Watching Pistons, and thankfully, it was not much, made me wonder how the fuck Monty made it to COY and NBA final

  7. SerAlexFlorent

Can I interest the Pistons in one slightly used Jordan Poole or Kyle Kuzma? That, or a handful of mostly trash vets? Maybe Wizards and Pistons just combine teams and see what we can build?

  8. Extremeaty

This is what happens when you draft in the top 13 five times in 4 years, and none of them are even average 3 point shooters. Then throw those same players out on the court with a rotating cast of known draft busts. A masterclass in destroying a 1st overall pick’s career

The Pistons are easily the worst ran team in the NBA and have been for a long time. A portion of our fan base is still saying it’s too early to make any sweeping judgements on the rebuild because we had no assets back in 2018 lmao.

“Can’t wait til we get Monte Morris back” is something optimistic Detroit Pistons fans are saying in 2023, four years into a “restore”

  9. I can’t wait for the fix Cade Cunningham project in a few years

I am drawn to watching younger teams play so I’ve been watching them. They got some good young pieces, but they also have some terrible young pieces who should not be getting minutes.

I feel they need to trim the fat from their core of actual talented young players. Cade, Ausar, Ivey, Duren, Sasser. If a player is younger than Cade and not on that list they should be shipped and replaced with someone who can actually play the game of basketball.

  11. SuperVaderMinion

I just don’t understand how Killian Hayes plays so much still, do The Pistons legitimately think he can still develop into someone who belongs in the NBA? How much more of him do you need to see??

  12. Bonesawisready5

Somehow my spurs will allow them to have career shooting nights all around

  13. wotdaf0k

Were they playing well when Duren wasnt injured

  14. the1stpickwickian

Stephen silas is their lead assistant. That explains a lot. This man has been part of the worst teams in NBA history and somehow still manages to avoid generational slander.

  15. Professional tanking at it’s best. Even the newly formed Trash Bros can’t out tank this shit.

  16. Expensive-Error-3960

Cade doesn’t look that good to me

  17. LuisScolaGOAT

Pistons fans, what does a Cade extension look like? Assuming he remains healthy this season and his numbers remain consistent.

  18. carbonanotglue

How are they one of the worst teams every year? I just don’t get it. They don’t even seem to get better despite lottery picks every year

  19. LHamiltonPP

Terrible teams always have tougher strength of schedule because they don’t get to play against themselves like everyone else does

  20. CoaxHoax

Hayes, Knox, Bagley, Wiseman. 4 busts that are part of the Pistons rotation. doesn’t help that their best shooter and best C are injured.

  21. manga_be

There are some talented young guys on the roster, but man it feels like the Pistons struck the fuck out in terms of assembling a winning team.

Cade is good, but not the best player on a playoff team. Everyone else is intriguing but barely above-replacement level when it comes to meaningful output.

Roster looks exciting on paper, but like shit on the court.

  22. brucewayne1935

What losing out on Wemby does to a mf

  23. Ace12773

Hell we beat them if that’s any indication how things are going

  24. carbine23

They looked so good the first 5 games wtf happened

  25. repingel

How can they have the easiest schedule when they don’t get to play the Pistons?

  26. riderforlyfe

I saw a young gun on instagram on one of those pick an all time 5 from randomly picked teams and the lil dude picked Cade over IT 😂

  27. enantiornithe

This is probably just noise and they’ll regress to the mean a bit and end up as a 20-ish win team, but it’s hard to not get a little hyped for the possibility of a historically terrible team. It’d take a lot of losing to beat the 2011-2012 Bobcats, but someone’s gotta do it eventually. I mean even the Jordan Bulls’ win record got broken.

They’d have to do some catching up on their losing, though. Right now the Pistons are .133, which is a little better than the .102 winrate that the ’12 Bobcats had (it was a shortened season so their record of only 7 wins is probably unbreakable in a normal season).

  28. searchformytongue

Can we also say that our main rotation players (ivey, duren, bojan, monte) have been out a significant number of games? like we’re not the best team but we’re definitely not the league worst. we’ll finish with maybe the 5th or 6th worst record in the league

  29. Nervous-Guava-7390

Surely that means they’ll get the #1 pick

    …right?

  30. conker1264

And I thought they were making progress in their tank too

  31. St_gracchus_babeuf

the detroit pistons are DEAD – the mexico city mustangs are being BORN

  32. spellman1969

They had a stretch where they played the suns, warriors, bucks, 76ers back to back to back…. That’s a tough schedule for a young team. That loosing streak started the free for all

  33. yaktoleft13

Can y’all just let us be the worst team in peace Detroit?

  34. Glowwerms

Feel bad for Detroit honestly, they have a great basketball history as a team but they’ve been stuck in the mud for almost two decades

  35. Spiritual-Avocado-33

Pistons will be by far the worst team and end up with the 5th pick in the draft again

  36. Young-G0ku

Thanks for the constant reminders we suck 🙁

  37. jcampo13

I feel like people are being very slow to realize that Cade is a bust. His advanced numbers are God awful in just about every way possible. His raw stats look good but that’s because he is given an infinite green light that he really hasn’t earned. I’d love to see what the Pistons would look like if they shifted him to being a 2 or 3.

I don’t think he’ll ever be the first or second best guy on a real contender. I just can’t think of a player who three years in is still deeply negative in all aspects of impact, becoming a true top 10-20 player. It’s time to kill the Killian/Cade backcourt. It’s obviously never going to work.

  38. Didn’t they have a promising team? I mean they got Cade, Ausar, Hayes, Ivey, Stewart as well, it’s a lot of “good” lottery pick
