He has to continue to play once we’re back healthy. His court vision and quickness have been nba caliber already. His maturity and poise is far beyond that of a rookie. There was a point late in OT when Garland was really forcing things with his hurt hand where the sixers scored and the ball got check into him and Garland called for it to bring it up and CPJ waved him off and told him he’d take up and then got the ball back to Garland to set the office at half court. The confidence to do that as a rookie while being able to recognize that the ball needs to get back to Garland is impressive. That and a dozen other things have impressed me so much

Beautiful thing seeing CPJ get some well earned recognition. I was on the early hype train saying he could be our potential long term backup PG. I did NOT think it was going to translate this early. But stepping up when his number was called with all the injuries is what ballers with ice cold blood pumping through their veins do. Especially in games against 2 of the better teams in the league. I was a little concerned with our PG depth since Rubio seems done, but with Jerome and CPJ backing up DG we should be all good
It’s really early, and I’m sure there will be rookie moments going forward, but this dude has earned 1) A full contract and 2) real minutes in the rotation. The lineups last night with both DG and CPJ were a thing of beauty
Special shout out to everyone who said they thought Sharife Cooper was better this summer

He’s becoming that fourth guard we needed for Defensive and energy purposes. Every time he enters the court it feels like the Cavs get a new burst of energy. He truly has that sixth man energy impact seen in guys like Naz Reid around the league. With him and Levert leading our second unit with complementary players like Okoro I think he can be major in addressing our limited depth.
