But people are fine with him shooting dog shit pull up jumpers? Teams love when he shoots because it takes shots away from everyone else.
If Russ is going to be effective he needs to limit his shots and turnovers and focus on defense, playmaking, rebounding.
He is playable in the first 3Q because he can push the pace and be a firestarter but he shouldn’t play in the fourth in games, his mistakes and bad shots are more costly and amplified then
I honestly think these past 4 games r a short hiccup ty lou needs better rotations.
Russ needs to figure his role out. I think part of him needs to get over the starter shit and just make the best outta his bench role. He been cutting do more of that, pass more, crash the glass, be a dawg on defense. He honestly doesn’t need to score. Part of it is how he’s being played but he needs to play better simple and plain. This is a long yr guys will have ups and downs.

The thing I hate is he strings all those bad shots in a row. Idc if it’s a bad shot per quarter, but when it’s 3 bad shots in a row, and we aren’t getting stops on the other end, it just kills us

Good to know. It has been a tough transition from adding Harden, to moving to the second unit. He’ll bounce back.
Brodie just needs to focus on this and the coach should also be aware. He said last yr in game 1 we dont need the scoring u do other things well and it won the game even tho he was 3-19. Honestly Russ should approach games like he did that 1 minus the shot selection. Basically take pride in everything but scoring.

Many players are rhythm players and they need to be in the game for long stretches to get it going.
While I believe Russ is the best player on this team, this is his Achilles heel. He NEEDS to be in the game in order to get that rhythm.
Clearly, moving him to the bench is not the right call.
