we lost because of that awful 3rd quarter and poor free-throw shooting. losing to Max Strus and Tristan Thompson.

bonus: oh lawd that GTJ 3 point attempt

  2. Raptorsthrowaway1

We threw that away. Same old story, bench can’t stay afloat and not enough shooting.

Poor effort from Scottie today at times. There was a play at the start of the fourth where he turned it over and just looked at the ref stationary for a foul instead of getting back on D. That’s not good enough.

  3. Diligent-Use-7268

watching us attempt to play offense against teams that aren’t dogshit at defense makes me need to bleach my eyes.

  4. OGnotAnunoby

Someone needa tell 4 its okay to try and score lol

  5. Cheechers23

Can we lock every player in the gym and make them take FTs until they make 20 in a row or some shit. This FT shooting is fucking pathetic.

Also I mentioned this in the game thread, but whatever amount Precious wants in free agency negotiations, show him that he got cooked by Tristan Thompson in 2023 and cut that number by at least 50%. How does that happen.

  6. Doughy_Joey

For like the past month every time I’ve watched a full game we’ve lost

I feel like this ones on me sorry guys smh

  7. slowbaja

Absolutely pathetic free throw performance. Inexcusable. You can point to everything else but at the end of the day nothing on the court changes play wise but you hit you free throws. You win. Simple as that.

  8. UjiriWatcher

Win win lose lose win lose win lose win win lose lose

  9. captaintn

29 6 FTs and we still lost. fucking deserved. This team is just selling false hope for nothing.

  10. FallenLemur

Barnes should not have been defending Garland all game, really should have been Dennis who could keep up with him.

As usual at least OG locked up Donovan.

    On to the next one.

  11. ZestycloseExchange52

Gary should never execute the last play everytime he closes quarters he so unsure what to do than takes a bad step back and why was Dennis not moving

  12. Apprehensive_Oil_484

What you expect if you give a guy like max strus 20 points in a quarter and miss free throws, ain’t ever gonna end well

  13. drewtheblueduck

We could have survived the awful free throw shooting.

We could have survived Supernova Strus.

We could have survived Bron-Era Tristan Thompson on the boards.

We could have survived Precious playing with the ball in his hands way too much.

But ain’t no way we’re surviving all that

  14. WarpFear

Honest question, why is Scottie on garland multiple possessions in a row? We’ve seen that experiment before, never ends well

  15. krazay88

I now understand that by getting more “shooters” on this team, we’d also simultaneously be improving our FT % 🫠

  16. Sometimes it feels like Schroeder is the only guy out there with passion and giving effort to win, the guys look lifeless out there at times. There was a possession where Scottie and Jak were jogging back on D while Schroeder sprinted ahead.

  17. macandcheese_19

That was so frustrating to watch lmao

  18. IamSofakingRAW

No one on this team can shoot a 3 off the dribble. Really interesting roster construction given the offensive landscape of the league

  19. bangin_corners

Scottie continues to be a beast for me in fantasy. That’s all this season is giving me.

  20. lillithfair98

The pattern of the season seems pretty consistent that this team struggles with teams who have good rim protection. They can’t shoot threes but if they can bully a team inside they cN be very effective.

Teams that make it hard to finish inside however can just pack the paint and dare them to shoot – it’s a simple formula and those teams have all done it to great results against Toronto every matchup.

  21. Rockin_Zombie

Are we ever gonna shoot over 80% FT as a team? How do we lose the fucking play in last year cuz of FTs and still can’t fucking figure it out? That’s some amateur shit honestly

  22. Closer586

More actions for Scottie and Pascal, it works well, Poeltl doesn’t need to always be the roll guy, we have two big athletic forwards with great court vision, more of that because it got us good shots and even when it didn’t it meant one of Scottie or Pascal had the ball late to try something. They both shot poorly but there was some gimmes in their that they will make more than not. If this team is going anywhere, we need to maximize the amount of possession where Scottie and Pascal are the key decision makers.

There was 1 play where you had Scottie as the pnr handler and poeltl rolling, Siakam has a mismatch and almost does a box out to seal inside leverage and Malachi moves to the corner for a wide open 3, there is so many good options and that action was getting good shots in the 3rd, we had 3 corner 3s, scottie fouled on a layup, and OG getting a nice putback off his own miss.

  23. When Scottie is the only starter he really needs to take control. No more of this letting Precious take control of every possession bullshit he was on today.

  24. ArrayMichael7

This game is on Scottie pretty much and coaching for not putting him in a position to succeed, but you can’t be mid on both ends. He’ll grow from this I’m sure

  25. Thealk3mist

Truthfully it was a very competitive game and we should of won. Siakam was on fire and we went away from him, and I think that was a cardinal sin. Also the Tristan Thompson and Struss thing was wild. I solely blame Precious for not defending properly and being epically trash. The Usage of Otto Porter was weird, and we definitely need an upgrade to our bench. Oh yeah, and Scottie is NOT agressive.

  26. IntriguedMck

I’ve accepted that we’re in the rebuilding phase so these losses don’t faze me one bit

It’s compete fans who haven’t figured it out yet. Case in point: going after **rookie** Gradey (who didn’t play tonight) because his shots haven’t been falling lately

  27. Why are we not optimising Scottie? We need him to experiment and develop. It’s a lost season for us.

  28. Golbar-59

I get that it was against a good defense, but when will we learn that we aren’t a good 3pts shooting team?

Pascal can do anything, even in traffic. He just needs to believe in himself and do it.
