Bulls want a 25 year old guy who is an advanced starter to a 6th man as the centerpiece for their biggest trade asset. Wow

If money worked I’d swap them straight up. But not possible, so this is why the front office is waiting before they give up multiple quality role players and draft capital
Lucieddreams
So happy to hear this. I was worried Rob would make a terrible Westbrookian mistake all over again but the Lakers ain’t trading Austin. Thank you for putting my mind at ease Bulls

Phew. At least I know that that ain’t happening
hallelalaluwah
trading for LaVine who has been in nothing but losing and toxic situatinos for his entire career in Lebron in his last year of free agency before he could potentially leave sounds like a disaster
Uberballer
As loathe as I’d be to trade Reaves, I don’t think he should be untouchable… but in a swap where LaVine is the best player you’re getting back he better damn well be completely untouchable.
The team needs to make a move, I think that’s gotten quite evident over the first couple of months of the season, but they really only have the assets to make 1 swing at it. If they’re going to swing big again, it better be for the right guy and Zach just ain’t that level of player. There’ll be more guys made available I bet between now and the trade deadline, they don’t really need to rush into making a trade on December 15.

Do not pass go, do not collect $200
Awesomefan09
That’s fair. I’d covet Austin Reaves too if I was a GM. I also covet a billion dollars. Doesn’t mean I’m getting it.

Just get us caruso and a big we don’t need Zach Lavine. Dudes on a max ave 22 pts
motorboat_mcgee
Alright, while I don’t agree with this trade idea, it seems the fans and media want it to happen, so here’s the salaries. Who are you trading to make things match? (Note another user pointed out we would only need to send out ~$40 mil to receive back the Bulls’ ~$50 mil)
I definitely think the Lakers should be looking to trade Reaves, but Lavine isn’t the target.
Ill_Celery_7654
Well we can kiss this trade goodbye then. Front office already said they won’t trade Reaves.

Hell nah!

They kno if they get AR and Bald Mamba together they’ll be unstoppable
La2philly
They’re 7-3 over their last 10 while missing 4 rotation pieces. Too much media nonsense
ValuableAssociate8
Just not feasible
OrneryImplement5807
He is on a horrible contract, nobody is paying them a premium for an unproven Zach Lavine
Eric_T_Meraki
Give up hope if you think AC or Lavine will help this team out as long as Ham is coaching.

NO DEAL
Tall_Succotash
This isn’t what the bulls need right now…if they could recognize they need to just enter rebuild mode to compete in the next decade, looking for role players to contribute or superstars right now is the last thing they should be doing.
That Lavine contract sucks, he’s not moving the needle for what the issues the team has. I THINK Rob knows that and should look somewhere else cheaper, make an attempt at caurso.
