The Pistons are awful. They aren't even bad with purpose right now. Lineups don't make sense. Positions players are being put in don't make sense.
It's just a complete and total mess.

> Sometimes teams are bad. It happens. And it’s often with purpose. Spurs are also bad, but they are trying to figure out what they have. Pistons just seem to show up, do the same stuff, lose and repeat the process.
> Being bad without purpose is just wasting a season.
Pistons are currently down 31 and about to lose their 15th in a row.

Not now all my friends are busy celebrating the death of the warriors.
On a more serious note isn’t Monty a COTY. Wtf is happening up there
Fire Weaver and arn.
Also fire our shitty medical staff
Weaver won’t make it past this off-season. Remind me.
I wonder how people who were optimistic about the Pistons in the off-season feel like.
join the club
But they had a special practice yesterday for the Lakers game
we’re gonna look back at monty’s contract like we do chandler parsons
monty williams make an adjustment challenge: IMPOSSIBLE
This is a generationally bad team
Ayton smiling and giving the side eye
It’s stupid to expect coaches to perform miracles with trash rosters
Monty was supposed to be doing for the Pistons what Udoka is doing for the Rockets (Rockets aren’t contenders yet but at least they aren’t an embarrassment). But Monty has been even worse than Dwane Casey.
It really is baffling how bad they look right now. Easily the worst team I’ve seen in a while.
Dumpster fire of an organization these past 15 years
What getting blown out by the lakers does to a mf
What the hell is happening with them? I thought they had been drafting really well, and Monty is a great coach. I never thought they’d be this much of a disaster.
And the saddest thing is there’s legit no one to even tank for
1 winning season (44-38 in 2015-2016) in the last 16 (I’m assuming they won’t have a winning record this season) and they haven’t won a playoff game in that span either (they got swept in the first round 3 times).
This stretch is immediately after the 6 consecutive Conference Finals appearances when they were one of the best and most iconic teams of the ’00s.
when you draft poorly for years, consistently, and your young players never show any improvement from year to year, this is the end result. Ausar Thompson looks decent but everyone else looks exceptionally mid (or worse in Killian Hayes case).
Cade just isnt making that franchise corner stone type player leap to build around. He looks like a Malcom brogdon type player
I wasn’t a fan back then, so could someone tell me if they’re legitimately worse than the seven win hornets, because they’re competing for the worst win percentage in nba history right now?
Us spurs fans can’t even complain compared to the shit detroit fans are going through right now, damn. Atleast we’re ass for a purpose/ gain something out of it, does Detroit have any picks?
They have talent. This is weird.
15 game losing streak is legit wild considering they aren’t even trying to tank lol
idk how you can tell but people are even saying Monty is phoning it in. it took a general bag to even lure him to detroit so now he’s just chillin
^(help)
I know this is unpopular, but I don’t think they are that bad, and certainly not unwatchable.
Cade has struggled, but he is a tough and skilled player that can be fun to watch. Ausar has generally looked awesome. Jaden Ivey and Jalen Duren have looked solid as well.
Month Williams ha definitely don’t some dumb stuff. Killian Hayes is not a rotation player. Ivey never should have been benched. I don’t like to watch Isaiah Stewart play basketball unfortunately. The Pistons will look better with Bogdanovich also.
Let’s give these guys some more time to gel.
Monty Williams with the all time fleece job
Watched for a bit. They look like we did last year. And year before that. And year before that.
Want to know what all 4 of those squads had as a common denominator?
How much is Monty getting paid again?
The Silas special
How the fuck are the Pistons justifying paying Monty this much money to not even do coaching things
Like why not just go full cheapskate and hire some assistant looking for his first gig instead of giving Monty 72 million dollars?
I spent my hard-earned money to go to a game where D’Angelo Russell shits on the Pistons all night long. Unbelievably bad basketball and spacing from the 70’s. Not to mention just miserable effort offensively and defensively. Jalen Duren taking mid-range jumpers and trying to face-up ISO Anthony Davis 1v1 and failing miserably. It has spread to our foundational players at this point. It should also be unconstitutional for me to watch a second of Stanley Umude play basketball.
