[Thiago] Tobias being a non-threat in DHOs can be quite a clog offensively Sixers do miss Oubre attacking it with (way) more purpose than this So much more to unlock in half-court with a quick trigger / decision-maker in this spot

Tobias has been generally better this year but there’s definitely still some stuff to improve. He seems super indecisive on drives sometimes, like in this clip. He’ll kind of half-heartedly try to dribble into the lane, get stopped, and back out to the three point line to reset.
I’m not sure what the solution is but step one seems to be being way more decisive around whether he’s driving hard or staying out on the perimeter. But at least generally I feel like I haven’t seen him turn these type of possessions into shitty midrange shots or post ups, which is an improvement.

He is a bench player. If he’s hot you leave him in if he’s off you take him out. I hope he’s gone before the playoffs this year.

Tobias has always been who he is currently.
He’s a slightly below all-star level player who would help any team in the league.
He puts up consistent numbers on really good shooting percentages, and he plays good defense. He’s also proven to be adaptable + a team player. He can fill a few different roles in a starting lineup.
Does he make shitty mistakes? Duh. Who doesn’t?
I hate when Tobias takes a 1v1 ISO post-up on guys like Tatum. I hate when goes ISO on anyone unless he has a size or speed advantage.
I’m not a fan of his rebounding ability either. I feel like he should be better in that category.
Harris (like anyone) can be frustrating, but he’s still a very, very good basketball player.
He’s not exactly who Joel and Tyrese need beside them, but he’s at-least very close.
This team is really good, and if you can’t replace tobi with someone that has similar size, more athleticism, and can shoot the 3 just as well (and with less hesitancy), then you can’t really replace him.

We got guys like Oubre for the min, Batum/Cov in a deal as throw ins and they all fit better next to Maxey and Embiid than Tobias does and you notice it immediately.
If Tobias was a forward that could shot create better, be a connective play maker he’d be fine but he’s a very one dimensional.
We should not sign him even in the contract is cheaper. He does not fit and we all have known this for a while now.
You can literally find like 2 Oubres and a Batum for less than his contract and they make same impact or better and fit with the flow of the offense

Tobias layups are complete dog shit. However, his post abilities are good

I can’t believe Tobias actually fooled people again into thinking he isn’t always going to disappear when we need him

I just don’t understand that pass. That’s a bad pass in LA Fitness, let alone the NBA.
In general our team seems to be way lazier when passing compared to other NBA teams.
