Something needs to be done with Zach’s minutes, straight up a detriment to both our defense and offense at this point, would love to see what Bassey can do starting.
All I want for Christmas is some defense and ball security.

Well, there is a silver lining in all this: we get a whole 4 day break from having to see this turd-ball performance again! Woohoo!
We’re gonna have to try and find the silver lining in some of these games or else we will all eventually go crazy.
I’m gonna take a swing at it:
Seems like Sochan is making better decisions with the ball and finding his groove on offense
Pretty good spot start by Champagnie despite some sloppy turnovers in the 3rd
Bassey block party with good defense holding it down in the paint
Tre making strides with his 3pt shot
Overall:
Seems like things got away in the 2nd half with all the turnovers and bricked 3’s that fueled the transition game
for the Pelicans. Tough to claw your way back and win like that, especially with all the weapons that the Pelicans have.

Charles Bassey deserves more minutes. Was very high on Collins coming into the season but he needs to earn some minutes back with his play right now. This game completely unraveled when Charles came out in the 4th with 8 minutes left.

Zach should never ever shoot the 3. In fact just don’t even pick and pop. Just straight up roll to the rim and get ready to rebound

I don’t like being too critical about the players, but when are we going to acknowledge that Zach is absolutely TRASH on defense. I said this weeks ago that he can’t be the starting center in the future. I’m not overreacting either. He’s genuinely really bad on defense.

Dump Collins for Bassey starting. There is nothing more frustrating than watching Collins brick threes and offering nothing defensively.

I just want one fucking win. Sochan is looking good tho. We need a trade for a PG and to give Collin’s less minutes. Idk if Bassey is the full time answer but Collin’s is so bad on defense a lot of the time

Why does Valanciunas turn into Wilt when he plays the Spurs?
I defended Zach Collins in an argument and ever since then he’s played like crap

We may never win again and I’m ok with that
So many hating on Zach when he was the only big on the court when he was playing most of the night and having to deal with Zion and Valanciunas. Collins is a pretty decent player but he’s mostly good at providing help and going for blocks or going straight up. Offensively, he’s at his best when we post him up but with our supporting cast and wanting to give Wemby a lot of shots we haven’t been able to do that a lot.
Bassey did well tonight but he’s asked to do so much less than Collins.
