Oof
Damn if Kai plays average we probably win ah well onto the next
Disappointing. Embarrassing.
Said it in the game thread but when do we start talking about how we’ve added multiple average to solid defensive players with DJJ, Exum, Lively, Williams on top of Green and Maxi (even tho maxi looked washed) and yet are still bottom of the league defensively and arguably have regressed from last year. I’m not even asking for a top 10 defense but literally just the 15th ranked defense. Just average would be incredible and we’d be cooking with how good the offense usually is. You can construct line ups that have 3 solid defenders always on the court yet we’re bottom of the league still 🤷 Luka and Tim didn’t even play and we still got cooked by G leaguers
We really couldn’t beat Memphis without Luka… yikes.
The only positive is that it looks like Grant got his shot back
Kyrie couldn’t shoot and Lively couldn’t rebound. Weird game.
Obviously we missed Luka sorely but also need to start respecting THJ. As irritating as he can be to watch, the man is a shot-maker and we needed that tonight.
These are the type of games THJ actually won for us a few years ago when Luka was injured.
I thought Luka was the problem? Isn’t he the defense ass bcz of him? Doesn’t he hold back the rest of the team with his slow pace? They got blown out by one of the worst teams in the league lol
If Luka played like Kyrie did today u wouldn’t see the end of it
Letting Haralabob take Josh Green over Bane set this franchise back so badly.
Just a fundamentally flawed team.
Games like this really shows that Luka should be the MVP
Eh missing Luka, Tim and Exum isn’t nothing (understand Grizz are without key players too but they’ve been dealing with it all year).
Midrie has been pretty sad this season. More bad games than good it seems
The state of rebounding at this organization needs to be case study. Seriously. The amount of pain that this team causes us to watch them “rebound” is insane.
Yeah Kai was off. Happens. But the size and rebounding issue is a red flag. Before anyone wants to say we were missing Luka THJ Exum, Memphis was missing Ja/Steven Adams/Smart and JJJ basically didn’t play today lmfao.
Hopefully THJ is good to go tomorrow vs OKC. Same with Luka but idk.
Drove 5 hours to watch this fucking shit. What an absolute shit coach. Literally doesn’t move while down 15-20 while the other coach coaches. Fuck this fucking organization. Christ almighty what a pain witnessing this in person.
Keep defending Jason Kidd y’all. What exactly does he bring to this team if we can’t play defense?
Just having an average Kyrie game and THJ out there would have been big. Obviously with Luka out there it would have been an easy win, but THJ was missed big time tonight too. The Hardy minutes, when he gets them, have been a big negative this season. Starting to get more frustrated with his game when he’s out there. also don’t know what was up with Lively tonight, but his hands tonight were at an all time worst. Couldn’t hang on to passes or rebounds.
*Rough* game for Kai. He was really chucking some bad shots early in the shot clock to fuel that 12-0 run in only 3 minutes by Memphis
“WriTe sOmE pOsiTiVe sHiT”
We need a new coach
Honest debate: Should Jaden Hardy be as “untouchable” as the FO and a majority of the fanbase believe he is?
Seeing a lot of overreaction to this (ppl acting like Kyrie has been ass all season). He had a bad start to the season but has been great since then.
People choosing to forget this just bc of this one (admittedly awful) game.
Jaden Hardy has not really improved the flaws he’s had going back all the way to Ignite. Still inefficient, still can’t handle the pressure of higher volume, still not a great playmaker. Hope he somehow improves but right now his best role is a open shot taker created by someone else on the team.
Kidd: Kyrie Irving uncertain to play Saturday.

Back-to-back days off for Kyrie
I have no confidence in Jason Kidd because this game makes clear the fact that he fails to prepare the team to compete and he has no strategy beyond hoping either Kyrie or Luka goes off for 15+ in the 4Q
They don’t defend, they don’t rebound, and if they aren’t hitting shots, they’re worse than the worst teams in the league. It’s pathetic. Avery was a better coach
Wasted opportunity for an easy win at home. This is a coaching blunder that needs to be addressed.
[This is what I saw with the generational trio of Santi Aldama, Vince Williams, and Jaylen Nowell tonight.](https://pbs.twimg.com/media/DBxgTmTXoAASuta?format=jpg&name=4096×4096)
Disappointing loss. No Luka and THJ and we get creamed defensively by one of the worst teams in the league that is missing serious personnel. This team needs Luka to keep the heart beating man it’s just sad. We need his 40 points to beat the Grizzlies of all people.
Josh Green needs to take a leap this year. He’s been getting plenty of opportunities but he’s getting his minutes taken by Derrick Jones Jr who is vastly outplaying him and and Dante Exum plays better than him too…
Don’t want anyone saying hardy is ready to take over THJ role lol
Do y’all think Luka will play tomorrow? Only home game I’m going to so far 😭
Reality check for a lot of this sub, we are what we are.
This Grizzleys team is bottom of the West, time to start questioning coaching also, we look terrible, defense, offense, rebounding, rim protection, boxing out.
All fundamental things.
Josh Green looked so fucking good in the 1st qtr and then he disappeared for the rest of the game.
Josh Green is broken.
I’m done with him, I’ve been patient, I’ve been optimistic, dude doesn’t have it.
His defense is nonexistent, he still cannot make a good decision, and his shooting is streaky at best. He’s gonna be a Jeff Teague in this league and that’s it
Fire Rick
